As soon as you plug in your computer you experience the quality. I'm a first time user of mac so as I was exploring imovie and the fan suddenly turned on really loud and fast which was really annoying it didn't seem normal so I restarted and the fan turned on again w/o having any windows open. Thank goodness it comes with free tech support for 3 months. I called them and they told me what to do haven't had a problem since. And I have since learned and gotten accustom to my imac can't say I'll be going back to p.c.. Oh and the main reason why I went to apple was because I had gotten a virus i couldn't get rid of and annoyed with paying additional for webroot. Love the magic mouse, and i've gotten used to not using the numerical key pad which is not a big deal for having a wireless keyboard.

Great display, fast, easy to use. No need for virus protection.

Seriously, buy this desktop, you will save your self from millions frustrations that you encounter in a pc.!!! I have been using pcs for almost 18 years, and i didn't have any problem adapting to MAC. Ilts very smooth, simple not complex like a pc. You do not need to be a computer savvy to know mac. I wished i could have made the switch earlier.

I love my new Snow Leopard! The Applications Folder, Documents Folder, and the Downloads Folder is so easy to find as they are down on the dock. Everything runs so smoothly and perfect. I haven't found one thing about my Snow Leopard that I don't like. Oh, except the little tiny keyboard. It doesn't have the numbers on the side and it just seems too tiny for my fingers. I'm sure that a lot of people like this new keyboard, but I switched keyboards with my husband and got his keyboard that came with that computer. (Tiger) So I am terribly happy. My husband only uses 2 fingers to type, so the little one is ok for him. Thank you Apple for your great product!

the speed, reliabilty, even the sound is superior to my workstation (which is only 1 year old). I love the cleaner, more efficient setup also. yes it is much more expensive, but do yourself a favor and get one of these!

Very fast no lagging what so ever , Can handle alot or programs open and still perform at its best, This Imac gets the Job done period,People i been a pc person my whole life , If u dont like a mac is cause u been told by a person that doesnt like it so u have that in your head, Mac's could only get better as the years pass by .

Let me just start off by saying WOW! I didn't believe this at first but ONCE YOU SWITCH TO MAC, YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK. No viruses AT ALL! No need to buy virus protection software either. It is so organized and futuristic. Beautiful, HUGE display. Amazing colors. This computer will work for anyone and everyone! Its a Mac.

I've been using a PC for years, and I wish I switched sooner. I just got the Mac, and installed iWork. Everything works amazing. It's super fast, too. I was originally going to get the 27" iMac, but the 21" just fits on my desk... if it was any bigger, I'd need a gigantic desk! The only annoying thing is that I have to turn the entire Mac around if I want to plug in something to the USB ports. This is most definitely worth 1200!

Being lifetime PC users, my wife and I were a little tentative when we started seriously considering a MAC to replace our PC. We struggled with the fact that the MAC's are generally more expensive than PC's. We have had our new MAC for a month now and we love it. It is hard to explain but the computer is so much more user friendly than Windows based PC's. From the internet, to photos to using iWorks (equivalent to MS Office) every area of the MAC is easier to use. We love our MAC and encourage all our friends to at least consider it for their next purchase.

I went in to just look at the Mac since I have been rapidly tiring of the viruses I was getting from my PC. I had three programs to protect them on it and yet the viruses were still getting in. In addition to that my PC system was slowing down and freezing up. I was just tired of fighting it. I went into BB to look for a gift for my son and walked out two hours later with the MAC 21.5". There is a learning curve to the MAC, but not enough of one to keep me away. I have both Quicken and Quickbooks on my PC, and I am going to leave that on my PC laptop as the conversion to MAC does not seem that promising. Besides, If this the only program I use my PC for, then that limits the Internet use. I did find Moneydance which may work out to be a good alternative. The monitor is the best. I was looking to go with the 27", but that started to just seem huge to me. I am now downloading Netflix movies to watch on this and it is great to watch on this monitor...You won't be disappointed...ENJOY!

There is not a better all-in-one pc on the marker, this beats them all, unless you really need touch screen, which I think isn't that great yet. You can work faster with mouse, especially having touch sensative mouse like the magic mouse, its best mouse apple made so far. Its fastes all-in-one, yes you can buy faster tower for same money but it doesn't matter how much power you have if you Windows, what I'm trying to say mac OS is far superior it uses less ram, and less cpu power to do the same Job, so you can get things done faster and while having more fun. Only application I recommend get iWORK 09 better than Office and half the price, it read office 97-2007 format, and saves in 2003 .doc format, which is more widely used than 2007 office format.

It's hard to comment when this is my first apple product and I am learning as I go along. It is much different from a pc but it does work well. I think I am just used to working on a pc. It does have alot of wonderful functions and I'm sure it will last me a while.

Everything I need to do is easily available on top level menus without having to dig deep into "computer geek" tools. Very, very user friendly. When I have had questions, the Apple support that comes with it has been very good. They even have real humans that speak English. The build in applications are amazing.

Great Graphics and simple to use. I love the wireless keyboard and mouse.

I JUST GOT MINE ON 10-24-09 THIS IS THE MOST OUTSTANDING MACHINE I HAVE EVER USED, I AM A VERY DISGRUNTLED PC USER. HAD MANY DESK TOPS AND LAPTOPS AND I CAN TELL YOU I WILL NEVER BUY A PC AGAIN, I ALMOST BOUGHT LAST YEARS 20" IMAC BUT I AM SO GLAD I WAITED, FASTER PROCESSOR, MORE RAM , WIRELESS KEYBOARD THE MONITOR IS OUTSTANDING 21.5 " WOW, AND THE MOUSE IS UNBELIEVABLE!! THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS SO EASY AND THE SPEED IS LIKE THE BLINK OF AN EYE, I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE RUN DON'T WALK TO GET YOUR IMAC, IT IS THE WAY TO GO DOWN WITH PC'S VIRUSES SLOW DOWNS AND FUSTRATION OPEN YOUR EYES TO A NEW WORLD

This is just what I needed. Had an old HP and it worked well, but I needed to do video chat. I either had to upgrade for $700 on a new HP tower or buy an iMac for $1,200. A big difference in price, but now that I have done it. Best decision I have made in many years. With three grand kids, the need to organize my photos was a must. iphoto does it with ease, speed, and grace. It was a great match for my i-phone. Love it - used Mac in the 1980s at school, but they had been too expensive to buy compared to a PC. I had forgotten how good the Mac is. It is well worth the money. Sorry - not a techi so want comment on that stuff. Just a guy who knows what works --- it works. wireless to HP printer and reuter. Look Ma no wires.

Put me into that category with everyone else that has switched from a PC life to an Apple life. I cannot believe I took so long to purchase a Mac! It took 4 minutes to open the box, plug it in, turn on the wireless mouse and keyboard and I was surfing the net! The interface is so slick, the thing just does what you ask it to do. I have a ten meg camera, and the photos look astounding on the 21.5" monitor. I also purchased an ipod classic, and in one 4 hour session, I was able to rip my entire music collection (BIG) and sync to the ipod. Working with programs and basic tasks takes a little getting used to coming from a PC world, but you soon realize how much better the Mac is. Throw your PC out the window, get a MAC!

This machine is amazing. I have no regrets spending this much. I Place this comp on my home office and most people who see's it is impressed. I love this com and i just cant stop using it.

I was primarily a PC user forever. But with all the headaches, viruses, upgrades every year, and constant frustration I am sooooo happy I made the switch to an iMac. I was an Apple user way back when with an Apple 2E and loved it. The new iMac with wireless keyboard, mouse is fantastic. Set up took less than 5 minutes! It took me longer to dismantle my PC! I love the fact I have only a power cord and ethernet cord! No more cobweb of wires under my desk and no tower! I love it being so compact. And learning how to use the iMac has been a breeze. I am having a great time learing all the new things. I will never go back to a PC! I recommend this computer to everyone!
