The tablet landscape looks grim. Either you go with the budget models below $200 that leave you wanting (now that NVIDIA's Shield Tablet is discontinued) or you start looking at the $600 tablets from basically Samsung or Apple. There was nothing in between and having been spoiled by what NVIDIA's Shield Tablet had to offer, I was ready to give up on tablets. But then this came out. Sure it's more pricey than the Shield (well, MSRP, now it's about the same price because NVIDIA discontinued it for no apparent reason), but it does everything I need and has plenty of performance to do it. The growing pains from Android to iOS weren't all that bad, with my only gripe being the lack of a universal back button. And seeing how Apple has a great track record for supporting devices for a long time, I'm confident the iPad will last at least a few years. So if you're looking for a mid-range tablet the iPad is a great option. That is of course, if you're not too heavily invested in the Android ecosystem.

The size is perfect. Can be used for everything I need. Banking, social media, email, research. Very user friendly and I would recommend highly to anyone. Conveniently travel friendly. Photos come out sharp and colorful. I do not need any other computer to do the things I want to do.

Cant go wrong with an ipad for a gift idea. Access to everything everywhere. Nice and easy to use.

i am sure you want to know if Apple makes the best iPads! Well, for the price they charge they have great confidence! But you cannot go wrong on this item, It is lighrt, qiuick to respond and the operating system is flawless. Go out and buy it!

Faster processor and great graphics. Price is always a frustration but can argue with performance

I am glad to see that the iPads are starting to become more competitively priced. It now makes it more practical to own one. For your family, this is probably the ideal way to give them a computer so that they can do the most common things. Check email, web browse, communicate with other friends and family. Seems like its designed for the beginner to intermediate user right out of the box. As for the quality of its construction, it feels great. The metal body can feel a bit weird after a while, so I bought a protective case, and it should probably be expected.

I bought this iPad for a gift. It was a good price before Christmas. The recipient was thrilled. The price was so good that I even purchased one for myself. I had an older 16GB iPad and this one is much faster and has twice as much memory for less than my old one was purchased for.

Perfect for surfing the web and checking email at home and great for travel with books and movies.

I bought this as a replacement to an IPad mini (older model) and I was hesitant in spending any money, but this was on sale and the screen was bigger , so gave it a shot. This is remarkably faster, screen brighter and crisper and I swear this is about what I spent on the mini.

got a great deal. No regrets. The iPad has always been great esp with kids and the learning apps.
