Being a naive user, I had thought software upgrades would fix it. Guess I was wrong. I needed a new IPad to speed things up. And the guy at the BB store was very helpful and honest on selling me the new IPad. He asked me a few questions and directed me to the right model. Saved me a few bucks.

It does not work with the Apple Pencil. The 32GB model is enough storage for most users. Especially if you have access to WiFi most of the time and use iCloud.

While the increase in weight is apparent, the new Ipad is much faster than the mini. You cannot hold it in hand for longer times like mini, but the screen real estate and future proofing is a good trade off.
