That model was fine, but it became necessary to go for more storage capability with the 128GB model. This one is a little faster and "more peppy" than the older model. If you don't need the bells and whistles of the iPad Pro this is an excellent value. It is also the exact same size as the 2017 model, so the same case will fit both.

Great for an inexpensive model

I don't need a heavy-duty iPad like the pro, just using it to run a couple of apps. For the price point, this thing runs really well. The cache could be a little larger, but it otherwise runs really smooth.

My eyes are so glad I got this iPad

My iPhone was becoming difficult for me to read articles in small print. Details in photos are awesome and the colors are spectacular. I can really enjoy TED talks now too. And this iPad connects via Bluetooth to my hearing aids so I don’t disturb others in the room. I love this device!
