She had an older iPad 2 several years ago that died and I replaced with a Samsung Galaxy Tab. The Samsung was nice, but it isn't an iPad. My wife never really used the Samsung and eventually gave it to our daughter. The iPad is easy to use and functionality is identical to my wife's iPhone XR. She now uses the iPad much more than she ever did her Samsung unit.
