Good but expensive

That being said this was bought for a very specific user who needs things to be as simple as possible which Apple does.

reluctant convert

I bought a kindle fire when they first came out and used it loads for magazines and movies when travelling. It was not good at internet browsing though. I was worried about compatibility with my other devices, having an android phone and windows pc. It's not been an issue though. I didn't feel locked into too much of the apple stuff. I love my ipad and run my life from it. I love it way more than I thought I would. It is more than just a tool. The only issues I have is when I give it to my son to play with. He often manages to switch away from the app I have left him playing with and I find it difficult to get back to it. Accidental swiping between apps seems easier to do than intentional swiping. Not sure how that works.
