It's not just how light and thin it is compared to previous generations, I was impressed with a significant decrease in the frame to screen size ratio. Less redundancy now. Wish had thumb recognition unlock like iPhone 5S.

Smaller screen has a great resolution

My wife loves it!!!

She found it very easy to get use to since it is so similar to her iPhone. The screen is beautiful and nice an big. Yet still thin and light enough for her to easily hold and use.

Previously having owned multiple iPods, including shuffle. & touch and later an iPhone 4 & 4S, I never saw a NEED for an iPad. Then I purchased an iPad Air WiFi. I use it for most everything I ever used an iPod, a Laptop & even a television for! I listen to music, podcasts, surf the web, watch movies and even TV shows! One of the Main complaints I've heard about the iPad was its lack of data transferability. But I purchased a media hub that let's me transfer files to a USB stick. It lasts a day. & 1/2 to 2 days before needing a charge. I purchased a large battery pack that a carry with me for the times when I suspect it will lose charge while I am out. It really is a great product, and do far, I am just scratching the surface of its uses. Highly, highly recommended.

All if the features and enhancements are great. However I think it's just over priced. iPad is basically a bigger version of an iPod. Now I can get an iPod 32gb for $299. The iPad air should have probably should've started a lil lower than $499, considering it starts at 16gb. So it's great to have just not very affordable for everyone. If I'm paying $499, I think it should be at least 32gb.
