I had a reward certificate & was unsure of what I wanted to buy so I decided to upgrade my old iPad 2 for a newer model. I settled on the iPad Air because it had 32gb which is what I was looking for, the Air 2 only came in 16gb or 64. This was a much more reasonable price too. This is thinner, lighter, faster & brighter than my old iPad &' I knew I'd be just as happy because Apple never seems to fail me. The reward certificates were great to make this even more affordable

It is big enough to see. Lite to carry. 10 or more hours battery life. It does so much and is so easy to use. Thanks for the great sale price BESTbuy.

Love my new ipad!!! I had an ipad retina before and in comparison my new air is much lighter and displays all my videos a lot more vivid !!! I havent noticed it being alot faster than my ipad retina(4th gen) but I definitely needed the memory upgrade from 16gb. Now that the air 2 is out the price drop was all I needed to make up my mind!! I compared the air and air 2 and in my opinion the only thing I may be missing on is the touch ID option which on my ipad i did not really care for. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to purchase a solid quality tablet!!

we replaced our iPad 2 because it was just slow and not performing well. This iPad Air screams in performance and the screen is much improved. We took advantage of a Best Buy 4 hour sale to get an even better deal. Speed when connected to the internet via WiFi is much better as well. We chose the WiFi version because we almost always have access to WiFi and can use our iPhones when we don't. Much lighter and thinner and easy setup. We backed up our iPad 2 to our computer and restored to the new one and had everything there. Great product.

As a gift, I received iPad 4th generation in January 2013. I used it for two years and really like it for its size and weight. I bought iPad Air because it is even smaller and lighter than iPad 4 (0.71" less in width and 0.5 lb less in weight). Yet, it runs faster (64 bit instead of 32 bit dual core processor) and it has one extra microphone and stereo instead of mono speaker. So, it is great to have as an upgrade to iPad 4.

Overall a great iPad. Half the weight and twice as fast compared to my old iPad 1st generation. Lighting connector and chargers appear to be just a money making scheme to force you to buy all new ones (Apples are $30+ a pop). They don't seem to be any faster for syncing and you have to get all new ones (I have like 5 or 6 old ones in various rooms etc.) Plus still have to keep the 30 pin versions around for my iPods etc. New one will charge slowly with a 10watt charger, but note that it needs a 12watt charger for regular speed charging (it comes with 1 - 12watt charger). Use one of your old 10watt chargers for charging overnight. Had trouble syncing my itunes when I first got it - spent 3 days working with Apple Care to resolve. It ended up being a corrupt epub book file that synced fine to the old iPad, but not to this one. Took many hours to trouble shoot. Apple care was nice enough, but they didn't know any more than I about how to troubleshoot it or fix it. Screen is amazing compared to iPad 1. Lots of apps wouldn't load or run anymore on 1st iPad because iPad 1 wouldn't load iOS 6 or 7. Camera picture quality is poor at best, no flash and doesn't handle any normal to low light conditions very well at all. Probably will never bother with the camera since your phones camera is likely twice as good. Note if you are on the fence definitely get at least the 32GB vs. 16GB. I watch a lot of movies on the iPad from my personal collection (DVD's etc.) and they take up a lot of space (500GB - 2GB depending on lenght and quality.) So if you travel with it, you can only bring a couple movies with you (apps music, email etc. all takes up a couple GB as well). Vs. the 32GB you can have all your other stuff and have 10-20 movies on hand as well, great for long flights, vacation etc when you won't be back in front of your pc for a week or so.

My old first generation iPad was beginning to act it's age, and look it as well. This iPad Air is lighter (good, because I put a bluetooth keyboard cover on it and made it heavier). The retina display is great, so much better than the old iPad even though it was not bad at all. If I were going to grumble it would be that I would wish for a lower price, but I would say that about most Apple products. However, you get what you pay for and the quality and ease of use can hardly be beat!

I love my iPad Air. Its easy to use has tones of great apps and if you have other Apple products it integrates with all of them. I love that my contacts, messages, email and other apps all sync with my Macbook and iPhone. The device is light and the processes are fast.

I received the same tablet as a gift a year ago. I liked it so much I purchased this tablet for my wife. The tablet is thin, light weight, & great size (not to big & not to small) but most of all it's easy to operate. The iPad is user friendly for older ones like us to figure out with out being frustrated like some of the competitor's are. As far as a tablet goes I wouldn't get anything else.

An excellent tablet for all the uses it was intended. Had a previous Apple product and this supersedes in every way; retina display, processor speed with the new chip set, light weight, speedy on/off, are most desirable features. Ease of use operating system is a hallmark of Apple products and this does not let down!

easy to setup and quickly shares info with my iphone. takes nice pictures. screen size is good. i got a defender oter box for mine and it weighs it down a little bit but not much. also got the logitech keys-on-the-go bluetooth keyboard and it synced seamlessly. I'm sure a case with a keyboard would work fine but i didnt want a keyboard all the time. overall it's a quality device and worth it

I wasn't really expecting any great revelations from this purchase but I found that I am impressed with the speed increase and the reduced weight and reduced size. I was handing down my IPad 2nd Gen to my niece and I am always hesitant when I give up something that is working well at the time. I am very glad that I upgraded and I am enjoying my IPad Air immensely.

We bought this to have another iPad to take on a long airplane trip for the kids instead of having to share. It's extremely light compared to 2 versions back and very thin! Apps load extremely quickly and the display is simply beautiful. If you like Apple, you like this iPad

It is a great i-pad for what i need it for. works fine looks fine It holds lot of music It is easy to use and is a nice size. Stays charged for a long time and small enough to carry around

The iPad Air is a great iOS device. I have a gen2 iPad. The air is lighter and more comfortable to use than my Gen 2 iPad. Response is very fast. Setup is extremely easy, just used a previous iCloud backup to setup similar to my older iPad. Integration with apps like Dropbox, Evernote and iCloud is excellent Wifi works without issues.

I have resisted getting an iPad for several years now (for no really good reason other than that I already owned several other Android and Windows--based tablet and laptop computers). A year ago I bought my wife an iPad Air for Christmas and she (a Very Non-Techie) got hooked on it. So I recently broke down and bought one for myself during the Presidents Day Sale. I must say, this is one FINE tablet! I am loving it. Extremely high quality construction, great screen-image clarity, super battery life, audio is fabulous considering the small-sized speakers, and with 32GB storage (which I would heartily recommend getting) it easily accommodates a ton of apps as well as my quite substantial iTunes library (ported over from my Windows PC where it has always been resident). My only issue is with the iPad's lack of support for Adobe Flash, which affects full-functioning of a few of the websites I commonly visit. But I can live with that shortcoming. I have purchased additionally (and would recommend to others) a keyboard-equipped protective case or folio as well as a screen protector. Very happy with my iPad Air!

So glad we decided on the iPad air for our tablet. Slim and lightweight are a definite plus. Faster speed/connect and great battery life. Impressive clarity and sound....all these made us choose over android. Can't go wrong. Very happy so far.

i replaced my toshiba android tablet w/an iPad Air and love the improved app availability along w/ the far thinner, lighter, faster and more energy efficient physical package. I chose the iPad Air over the iPad Air 2 for the better price versus minimal feature advantages. I just wish iPads had a memory slot

Purchased the iPad for my mom and gave the hard drive to my parents. The hard drive is plenty large enough for them to store all of their videos and photos; freeing up valuable space on their computer. The iPad is large enough for my mom to use without the need of glasses, and is very fast.

my kids hardly ever give me the opportunity to use it.....it's super fast and the picture is exactly what you'd expect from Apple...thinner and lighter than the previous model iPad....put it on your short list and go get one.
