Nothing Better!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the first iPad and fell in love with computing again like when I got my first Mac SE in 1985. Apple truly innovated a new item here which has had tremendous impact on our personal and business lives. Just wish they were a little less expensive and had a card reader for expansion and easy file transfer in and out. But those aside, I love iPads and the iPad Air is a great improvement on a great invention.

Best tablet in market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ipad Air is the best tablet in market...not being a big apple fan but still i can appreciate the lightness and speed of the Ipad Air. I had been planning to get one for days but really got a good deal at Best buy for it which made me not think twice.

Excellent personal tablet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my very first Apple product, and I picked a good time to make the iPad Air 32GB (+ATT Wireless) my first purchase. I am a BIG Android fan. I absolutely love the Android interface and all of the capabilities most Android based tablets give. In fact, I would not have purchased this tablet if I needed if for business use. Hands down, I would have purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 edition. Or..just wait until the new Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 version comes out 1st fiscal quarter of 2014. I was torn between this tablet and a Samsung. However, l had to be honest with myself. My tablet was for fun, games, the Internet, and socialization. Period. Mine was not gong to be used for business. I have a laptop for that. Okay, so it sucks that there are no expansion ports for memory. Give in a little and get the 32 GB model. 32 GB is PLENTY of space. There were two tipping point for me. First, having cellular service on this (ATT LTE) was a must for me. It is convenient for myself and my family when we go on trips. No data plan commitments. Just activate the unit onto my existing plan and off we go! Second, it is all about the Apple App Store. Don't get me wrong...Google Play has come a LONG WAY! There is no doubt that there will be just as much content on Google Play as there is on the App Store in the near future. However, as of right now, the App Store has the best content. So if you are looking for reliable tablet that will give you great entertainment and superior apps for download, then the easy to use iPad Air with iOS 7 is for YOU. Lets be honest....you are just going to use it for the Internet, social media, and games while on the couch, or on the "John", or even on a trip. Sure it is a little pricey...but...you get what you pay for.

This review is sharing my experience with Best Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The purpose of this review is to share my horrific experience in dealing with Best Buy / BestBuy.com. This review is not going to provide my thoughts/opinions on this iPad Air. I want to be clear about that. I would be thrilled to speak to a Best Buy supervisor on the phone. Feel free to call and if you miss me, leave a message for me to call back with an extension #, etc. Or send me an email message and I will provide you a phone number to call. Let me explain just a bit of what all happened. My mom wanted me to help her buy an iPad Air. I buy a lot of discounted gift cards from CardPool.com, Raise.com, etc. To save my mom money, I was going to buy for her enough Best Buy gift cards to pay for her iPad Air and cover the tax too. However, I knew from experience that some websites have a limit on the number of gift cards you can use in a single order/transaction. On Memorial Day, I called the Paducah, KY as well as the Chattanooga, TN Best Buys stores but was unable to get a clear answer as to how many gift cards could be used in a single order on BestBuy.com. I called BestBuy.com a couple of times trying to get an answer. Finally, I was told that the limit was 10. That lady had me hold for a few minutes while she searched on her computer system, but came back with confirmation that the limit for a single order on BestBuy.com was 10. So, I purchased nine (9) Best Buy gift cards, 1 physical gift card and 8 e-gift cards, enough to pay for the iPad Air and cover the taxes. I went to place the order on BestBuy.com and immediately ran into the problem of the system would only allow me to use 5 Best Buy gift cards in a single order! Great, I bought these gift cards based on what the Best Buy rep told me and they cannot be returned. That day and over the next few days, I called BestBuy.com (888-BestBuy) 5-10 times as well as talking staff at the Chattanooga, TN store. The issue was how could I place the order to get the iPad Air for my mom, but use the 9 Best Buy gift cards I had purchased to do so. I ended up speaking with Gwenn, Preston (supervisor), Jason in Mobile & Connectivity Computing, and a few others at BestBuy.com after calling the 888 #. Nobody had answers. The solution seemed to be combining a few of the gift cards into one single gift card, but I got mixed answers as to could it be done or how. However, it was Jason that finally told me that you could not buy an e-gift card with gift cards. That led to Order # BBY01-652396141170 where I would use 5 e-gift cards 1 purchase 1 physical gift card, which was canceled. As horrible as my Best Buy experience had been up to that point, the order cancellation was fitting. To top it all off, I was going to have to wait up to 48 hours to get a call about this order cancellation, a call that I never received. Gwenn tried to be helpful. She called the Paducah store and they said I or my mom could come into the store and place the order using the gift cards. She said as well that the same would be true at the Chattanooga store. After days and boiling point of frustration, I called on June 3 the Chattanooga store and got the store manager, Rodney Harris, on the phone. From what he said, he put me on hold 2 different times and checked the Best Buy rules or policy regulations and said that, yes, they should be able to place the order for me and have it shipped to my house, if I drove up to the store. I went to the store the next day only to find out that he was wrong and inside the store, the system has the same 5 gift card limit that I experienced online previously when trying to place the iPad Air order. Now, Rodney, nor anyone else knew what to do. They were trying to help, but couldn't figure out a work-around. I finally suggested to Rodney, another assistant manager, and another 3 or 4 staff members that were present that I would have them place an online order for me (Order # BBY01-652360043903) using 5 of my gift cards and have them do the order as a in-store pickup, but that I would immediately return the item minutes later and have them issue me a refund onto 1 gift card. That was the solution. After an hour of being in the store, I was walking out with 4 of my original 9 gift cards and a new physical gift card. Later in the day, I placed the iPad Air order (Order # BBY01-652396141980) for my mom. Unfortunately, it ended up being defective, according to Apple, and had to be exchanged, which again was quite complicated, but nothing compared to the he-said, she-said, nobody knows nightmare that had proceeded. As one that has spent thousands of dollars at Best Buy over the years, this might have just taken the cake. I am not sure I will purchase from Best Buy again or that I can recommend Best Buy. Employees need to know what current policy is and be able to give an accurate answer. It would have saved me a lot of stress, time, and frustration. At the very least, I should receive an apology and compensation for my stress, time, and the frustration by this entire mess. I sincerely hope none of you experience this type of run-around in the future, at Best Buy or anywhere else.
