Annoyed that I couldn't download some apps that are for free, without I pad asking for payments

Aiways wanted an iPad,was frightened away by the price. So stuck with android! When my tablet took a dive, I decided to try Apple. So happy I overcame my frugleness(if that's a word) & got the iPad mini 32gb. Certainly enjoying!! Worth the money!!!

A little pricey but worth it if you want stellar quality. I've tried every tablet out there and this one tops them all easily. Runs buttery smooth, super fast, and nearly never freezes like Android tablets. Much better selection of apps than any other platform too. The mini retina is every bit as good as the iPad Air too so unless you really just want the bigger size, get this one. The only Android tablet that even comes close is the Nexus 7 but this tablet is better. I've has them all and you can't go wrong with an iPad.

Apple products are definitely well made. The display and iOS are nicely functional. A little disappointed that the scrolling is a bit jerky. Some apps are very nicely done. Between the Apple app, iTunes, and iBook stores most bases are covered. Overall the interface is a lot nicer than the cartoonish OS X interface. For the household with Airplay devices this is a wonderfully easy solution. Now the cons: 1) Limited to the Apple stores, they don't want competition. Most stuff is more expensive including the tablet. 2) Compared to Android 5, the interface is sort of simple. Definitely made for the single tasking single or few app user. Widgets on Apple are a work in progress. Notifications are nicer on Android by a lot. 3) Unless you already know Apple iOS it is not intuitive and not greatly consistent. 4) Lack of external storage forces you into the 32GB model. 5) Safari and iTunes are both showing their age. Pretty but confusing. 6) Lightning connector is non standard for no reason. It could use a nice USB 3 port. 7) Web access and searches appear slower than Android by quite a bit. 8) On screen keyboard is basic. Overall I really like the iPad Mini feels solid, performs well and has a boatload of apps. For the Apple fan this is the sweet spot! Years ago we would have loved to have a pc this capable!

Just got this today very first iPad ever owned am very pleased but is kinda slow and has froze 3 times already not to mention it takes a few tries to download an app. I don't think the iPad is to blame for this I'd say it's apples new update which needs updating and fixing itself. iPad has great no amazing battery life then I ever expected it's literally lasting me all day with heavy usage. Picture is amazing just like my iPhone 5s. It's basically just a bigger iPhone. I love how it fits in my small hands easily that's a major plus. It's realitively easy to manage how to grasp getting to know its ins and outs on actually using this iPad mini. It's a great product overall I'd highly recommend to anyone on picking one up.

I have an Ipad Air but purchased the Ipad Mini with retina to email and surf the web and watch movies(netflix,hulu plus). The screen is amazing and worth the extra 100 dollars from the original ipad min. Plus you get the other upgrades as well. I would highly recommend this or any ipad but do get at least a 32gb. the 16gb version on any ipad or iphone is not enough anymore.

Bought for our 6 year old son to replace the original iPad mini, he takes excellent care of his stuff but he just needed more memory. Works great, easy for him to use, really couldn't ask for anything better. We own 7 apple products and will continue to purchase them.

Got this for my very technologically challenged husband for Christmas. He loves it and quickly learned how to use many of its features. I love it because I did not get overly frustrated showing him how to use it!!

Bought one for my fiance for Christmas and she loves it! We both have iPhones and having the larger screen is very worth it! I would highly suggest for anyone on the fence. Also, the mini is more than enough screen size.

I love my iPad mini and I use it all the time. The best part is iOS 8 allows you to connect your iphone to make calls and send both SMS and iMessages. Best part I got it a little cheaper as an open box item.

This is a great tablet and I like it more then the regular size iPad. Perfect size for reading and for kids use. I'm not an Apple fan but I do like the mini iPad for home use and their apps.

We bought this primarily to be a more functional replacement for an older Kindle. This is just the right size. It's easy to hold to read books and it's nice to use for email, too.

Really like the IPAD mini for the size. My husband has a large ipad and it was simply too heavy for me.

I'm a huge fan of my iPhone 6 and when I saw this iPad on sale I decided to grab one. Overall it's great, there are a few minor things that aren't perfect, but overall it's a great product. The screen is beautiful, but I found pictures and videos to be just a little dark and skin tones to be a little warm, but most people probably wouldn't even notice. Sound is adequate, but the two speakers next to each other don't give you any kind of stereo separation, I wish it had a single larger mono speaker and save the stereo for headphones and Bluetooth. The icons are a little too small, there is enough room to make them bigger and still have the same number on each page. WiFi speed is excellent, I have a 100mbps plan and I'm getting 89mbps through WiFi which is as good as one can hope for. Camera is not so great, it's a bit dark and grainy, especially compared to my iPhone 6 camera. There was no calculator app included, which is something I use quite often. I coughed up the 99 cents to get a good ad-free one, but I'm very surprised such a basic app was left out. Battery charging is slower than expected, my iPhone 6 charges more than twice as fast. I understand the iPad battery is larger and so it takes longer to charge, but even taking that into account it's slow. There is about a 20 second delay getting email and message notifications on the iPad from when they appear on the iPhone, but that's probably from having them synced for text messaging. Bluetooth seems to be weak, when connected to my stereo about 15 feet away sometimes it cuts out, especially if you walk between them- this doesn't happen with my iPhone 6. When I setup the iPad via sync with iCloud all apps carried over except Chrome. I know Apple wants you to use Safari but not carrying over Chrome was a bit of weak sauce, it took me maybe two minutes to reinstall it on the iPad but still- weak sauce there Apple! All these complaints are minor, overall I'm quite happy with this iPad and it's a great deal when you can get it on sale!

The iPad mini 2 is an excellent computer for the size and price. While it doesn't have the touch ID in it for extra security it does have all of the needed features to run clinicals where its small enough to take on the go. There's rarely any lag on it but I wouldnt use it for gaming since then there would be a lag on it.

Works good I love apple and this is a nice size it's not to big like the ipad air.
