Almost the Mini 3 without the pricetag

She is not a techie type person, but is enjoying Facetime and the size of the IPad mini 2. We put a simple cover on it and it travels with us wherever we go. We are happy with this purchase.

You can't get this kind of performance in less expensive models anywhere. I would give it 5 stars but it's not perfect and neither are most of the others at any price.

Great Entry Level iPad

Ok, I did end up getting an iPad Air2 for my wife instead. I love the size and screen resolution. I had moved from an old iPad to Kindle tablets due to cost a few years ago, but have found myself gravitating back to the Apple ecosystem again. The iPad is really responsive and was well priced for the holidays. Very happy with this purchase!

There is a learning curve, as with all technology, but much of it is intuitive if you also own a smartphone. Getting the Internet through cell towers and not relying on wifi is genius. Buy a case which allows you to prop and position your device for easy typing and reading. Don't be afraid of this device if you're in the over 65 crowd, as I am.

Useful tool for young kids

Useful for our 11 year old to do homework via GoogleDocs and he's able to take it to school to use in the classroom. Promptly bought a protective case.
