Great simple-to-use tablet

I didn't notice a lot of improvements in the overall system or pre-loaded apps, but the device is much faster and visually clearer than my iPad 2.

Ipad Mini vs Ipad 3

I have found that the Mini's size is perfect for me. The larger iPad 3 was cumbersome to hold while laying in bed and I found myself wishing I had my wife's Mini. When my iPad 3 started to show its age, I set it up for my 4 year old and went with the smaller Mini. It is perfect as I am an avid Moleskin 5x8 Notebook user and the Mini is almost identical in size. Couldn't be happier!

The addition of touch ID makes purchases a snap, and it is a TINY bit lighter and faster than the iPad mini 2..... so this is well worth your time and money, especially if you can get it for less than $299..... a fantastic tablet for anyone.
