Not a whole lot of difference, just took advantage of the black friday deal and couldn't resist. I prefer the iPad mini since it can fit easily into my purse and not as heavy as the full size iPad. The only con was the case for the 3 would not fit the 4.

Amazing upgrade

It finally got to the point where it was noticeably running slower, so I got the new iPad mini. Amazing upgrade -- everything I loved about my old iPad mini, plus more. Retina display is a huge benefit -- some people say they can't tell a difference, but I totally can (shows how much I'm on this device during the day).
