Great for my 9 year old

He has friends that have phones-I wanted to give him some more independence-but not as much as a cell phone. With this he can play games. But I set him up so he has his own email address. He can email and can also facetime. It is set up so he can do these things when he has wifi-so basically I still have some control. You can also set up with some parental guidelines (movies, and such). A bit expensive-but well worth it.

I wish I could figure out how to turn the sound on since it doesn't have a mute switch like the previous iPads
