It seems that the hardware is beautiful, but they never updated the iPad os to work well with it. Not worth $500.

I love the Ipad Mini 6. It's fast. Comfortable to hold. It may be my favorite tablet so far. I upgraded from the Ipad Mini 2, which I never used due to it being slow from day 1. I have an iphone xr, ipad pro 11 256 4G (I never use 4G), iwatch 5 4g (I use 4G on this daily), imac pro, macbook air m1, airpod pro - so I'm linked in pretty hard. And I cycle between them actually fairly regularly. The reason I bought this is to watch movies while I charge my car at charge stations. It's small enough to slip into my photography backpack fairly discretely, without adding much weight or bulk for on the go notes, flipping through magazines, going through portfolio, reading, etc. My biggest gripe about it is, 64 gig is too small. Just putting on the apps I want, and yes, I go overboard and download games and everything I want on there, I'm at 82 gigs with apps alone. 128gig would also probably be too small at that rate as well. I think $499 is a fair price for it with 128gig (which they don't have), but it is quality over other tablets, and you pay for that. I would not go with the 64 gig, it will be outdated in 6 months unless you just buy it for netflix, which I'd just get a bigger screen if you do that. The form factor is perfect. fits in the hands well, feels nice. Looks nice with the bezels and no button - like a pro mini. USB-C a much needed upgrade and should also be on the phones. I feel the pencil almost seems to have been designed for each other. I never used the pencil for the pro, but I see myself using it with the mini more. Battery life seems okay, after downloading all my apps and fairly heavy use, it was at 40-50%, which seems pretty good. No face detection feels like a step backward. But the finger print button on the top works great and with multiple fingers. Reason it's not a 5 star - no face detection. EXPENSIVE. I had to really talk myself into spending $650 on something I'm not sure will be used daily. On top of that, the $65 case. YIKES. This thing is remarkably expensive - that's getting close to just buying a laptop, which seems to have more functionality. It's my birthday this week, so that helped me in justifying it a little. No promotion, which is super nice and 120 frame rate - but I assume they have to save something for the future releases... Also, the speakers, which was a keynote, aren't as good as expected. For something so small, okay, but it's not quite as loud as I need it to be. In a kitchen while cooking noise, it was a little quiet. But that's what airpods are for, I suppose. Oh also, the case is nice. Pretty hard. Folds very neatly. It's very thin with it. and protects screen. $65 though :( I didn't plan on getting it, but I'm not going to slide a $650 item in and out of my bag without some kind of case on it. So should you get it? I'd say if you take notes on the go and need something small in form that fits into a bag easily, it's perfect. You're buying, what I hope to be, an upper echelon product that has high quality parts and chips, that I'm hoping will last and be used for 5 years. I trust apple in pricing this appropriately with the chipset, maybe I shouldn't. But it's a very nice device.

Had to return this "open box" item. It was supposed to be an excellent open box item that had gone through professional cleaning, came very dirty and very used looking. I returned for a lower GB but in the color I originally wanted anyways. BTW, only saved 20 bucks buying open box for an item that was clearly, at minimum, moderately used.

I had to return it. It wouldn’t charge in my home. The Geek squad employee said my outlets weren’t strong enough to charge it. I don’t believe that.

Item arrived in a box that look like it was stuck on a conveyer belt at an amazon warehouse…smh The retail box was in shambles but the device was/is in great physical condition. Saved 400$ so cant complain much…lol

I had an iPad with cellular and ended up with this. Took it back and bought a cellular able one elsewhere. Also cancelled membership and protection.
