Samsung wins...but not against the iPad Mini

The size is a big factor, especially when comparing to the larger (and sometimes awkward to hold) Samsung. The iPad Mini has all the features you need and want, and, fits easier in your hand.

New iPad Mini 6

The changeover from old to new took 15-30 minutes and was very easy. It takes a bit to get used to using gestures instead of the home key (Mini 6 doesn't have one), but that's ok.

Great little device

I haven’t found anything it doesn’t do well. I’m adjusting back down from an iPad Pro and there are a couple of form factor issues with turning it and screen size but that to be expected in the size of the unit. It is best at reading. I use the pencil a lot and it is a handy note taking device. The size makes it fit nicely in my work briefcase along with my laptop. If I did t have a MacBook Pro this may be too small but is a perfect complement to that.

My last iPad (2014) quit working a very long time ago. I was torn between buying a laptop or an iPad, and chose the iPad for the small size. I’ve used jt to play a few games, work on email, Word/Excel documents, video conferences, and many other things. Its very quick and reliable. The biggest cons are: 1) The size is too small for me (not a con with the iPad itself, and 2) There are less options on the market compared to other iPad models (cases, keyboards, etc.).
