It does really well what I purchased it for in conjunction with a $25 aftermarket pencil for it. Battery life and display are nice but if it is supposed to have the 120 hertz refresh rate then it is lacking comparison to the Samsung when scrolling through text as it still has the wave happening to it as if it were 60 HZ. And there's nothing special about the speakers other than they have nice volume. For quality, the Samsung tablets still out perform this one.

Upgraded from the last version of the mini and will not look back! This new mini is a great improvement in design, performance and function. I love the smaller bezels and it's still impossibly thin and light and allows for easy operation in one hand no matter where you are. My favorite use cases for the device are while camping and sitting outside or on the airplane where cramped seats make a laptop practically impossible to use.

Great product as always from apple. Super fast and lightweight. The iOS software could use an update to reflect the new mini but hopefully that will come soon. Some widgets are too small to see comfortably and are bigger on my iPhone. Great ipad for media consumption and easy portability. I ended up returning the 64 gig version and upgrading to the 256 gig as I do photo editing and wanted the extra headroom. Both perform flawlessly.

The iPad Mini 6 is the best yet for the Mini Series. This is my 3rd mini and I am amazed by the screen colors, clarity, processor speed and overall functionality packed into this small tablet. Its size makes it easy for travel without losing any functionality or capabilities of larger screen tablet devices.

Overall great product for my needs I have used apple products since the iPod touch 4. I had bought this little iPad for my work. I planned to use it with the Apple Pencil for doing inventory, filling out order forms and etc. the size is small and compact and great for carrying around my business. It is very quick and powerful and the camera is great for scanning barcodes and item iD’s. I love that the pencil attaches to it so I don’t have to carry it around in my pocket all day.

It’s a great tablet for its size. The best way I can put this iPad would a more capable big iPhone with out the ability to make regular phone calls. Great for FaceTime and video calls of all sort. The center stage feature does a great job. It is a bit on the expensive side but that does make it an a lot more capable device. I don’t feel like it held back too much for its size its perfect for quick on the go sessions. If you are planning on doing things like typing, editing and drawing for hours then you are better off with a bigger iPad like the air or pro. I use it as a secondary iPad along with an 11 inch pro. I like this iPad because it nearly as capable as my pro but i can take it with me and not have to worry as much. As I would with my more expensive pro. If u plan on keeping it at home than I would recommend a bigger iPad. This iPad is great for gaming and watching content. If u plan on using this device in your hands more than on a keyboard setup then I definitely recommend this size. Using the bigger iPads primarily in your hands can be a bit difficult. It’s such a fun device with a lot of performance power. The dual speakers are great for the size, no complaint there. I really enjoy this iPad its a great bring a long device and even at home I find myself using it for things like YouTube and reading. I love the fact that I can actually game on it and not have to rely on a Bluetooth controller like my bigger iPad due to the size. If u plan on getting a different tablet in this size category and price is not a factor then its a definite buy. If price is more of an issue I would maybe look at other tablets like Samsung. There is a huge difference in performance so if u need the performance then I recommend saving and looking for a deal because it is definitely worth the investment. I primarily use this iPad for reading, gaming, watching content, taking notes, typing or editing word documents specially when I’m not home.

This is the best tablet on the market if you're looking for something compact. There's not really anything else out there that even competes when it comes to build quality, display and performance at this size. The only real downside with this tablet are the speakers, which sound nice enough for a small tablet, but the volume is pretty quiet. While you're (probably) not going to want to do any really serious work on this thing, it's absolutely wonderful if you're looking for an easy to hold tablet to surf the web, watch some videos and especially read on. It's extra nice if you're a student, as this is about the perfect size for reading pdfs of your text books or using as a note pad.

Let me start by saying, I also own a 12.9" iPad Pro. I bought the Mini 6 to replace an old Mini 2 and my 10.2" iPad. I'm so glad I did. First, the design is great! It's such a great size for when you want something other than your iPhone, but don't want the size or the bulk of the full iPad Pro. I love that it's USB-C, the fingerprint ID works great (I set up thumb and forefinger of both hands so I can activate it no matter what position I'm holding the iPad) and there are little things you may not notice at first too. For example, which button raises and lowers the volume changes depending on the orientation you're holding the iPad in. (in other words, which ever button is facing UP raises the volume) There are times, when I reach for the Mini now as it's such a joy to hold and doesn't get too heavy. It's easily held in one hand, and yet still pairs with my Apple Pencil 2. I also have added it to an arm above my MacBook Air to be able to watch games or TV while I'm on my computer and the smaller form is the perfect size and isn't too bulky or heavy. I couldn't be happier to have added this to my Apple Eco-system and think if you get it, you'll be equally thrilled.

I love the size and feel of the ipad mini, HOWEVER i cannot get over the fact that it seems apple dropped the ball with this. $500 for the base storage size puts this tablet in such a strange price point. I feel as though they should have released this as an ipad pro mini with a 120hz refresh rate .. but i guess then everyone would buy this and not the pro. It just feels like it is in a weird place to me.

I had a 4-year old mini which was becoming slow with newer apps, so I decide to buy a this new ipad under several recommendations. I expected to be faster, and it is even faster than I expected. External size is almost the same, but it's ligther and the effective screen is bigger. Very responsive. The sound has improved also. Camera is faster and the new apps work like a charm. I'm very satisfied.

Perfect size iPad. Coming from a regular sized older iPad in which I never used and never seem to find a use for it. It was too big. After seeing the new release of this iPad mini, it really got my attention. Fast performance in a small package. It’s like having a mini pro. So far it’s been my iPhone replacement when it home, watching videos, games, etc. Now I’m even looking at editing photos, videos and more productive apps regularly used on my Mac Pro. No issues and works great.

Bought this for work for notetaking, some video calling and so on. It’s small enough to not be a burden to lug around but big enough to want to write long notes on versus my phone. It runs smooth unlike the Samsung A Series tablet I tried before. I bought it for work but am finding more uses for it. Gaming (PUBG plays well), watching shows and movies, and it takes decent pics (but I only do that to add to my notes).

As an owner of an iPad Pro since they first launched, I never really saw a need to own *another* iPad. I mean, you have your phone for everything portable, and the big iPads to do more serious stuff. However, I found that as time went on, another device needed to fill in the gap for things that needed a bigger screen yet still needed to be more portable. Enter the iPad Mini. I found the Mini to be a perfect use case for me in terms of jotting notes down - don't get me wrong I can type out a pretty big list of things on my phone, but using the Apple Pencil and an app like Notability make for a great experience as a way to organize and maintain notes. This could be interpreted as just a really expensive notebook, yes. In other factors, I have found that the mini performs just like any other iPad. The screen is pretty good, though not as good as the amazing miniLED display of my iPad Pro 12.9", but still good, and the stereo speakers are pretty good. The "jelly" scroll effect that you hear about for me is not something that bothers me, as I am mostly writing instead of scrolling up and down all the time. The only slight weakness I have found is the battery life, but that is an acceptable tradeoff given its size. If I had to, I definitely could use this for normal iPad duty - watching TV/movies , email, internet, etc.

I bought the iPad mini to use at a religious convention, it’s light weight and very easy to use. It took nice photos and I added a bible based program that made it great to use. I was pleasantly pleased with the easy setup.

The new iPad mini fit into the sweet spot of my wants and needs. I never liked the big iPads because they weren't as portable as I would've liked them to be because of the size. This mini with all its updates that brings it into the modern tech era is ultra portable yet doesn't sacrifice anything as far as power and functionality for me. I mainly use it as a media consumption device not a work device. People who need a work device the best bet is the pro line. All the people complaining this doesn't have the pro motion 120 hertz function would be the same people complaining of the price if it did have it. I bet most of those people also complain about this price.

I like the mini model better than the full-sized iPad because it is easy to carry and feels more like a book in your hands. This is a much better product than the older model I had, with faster speed and excellent reading mode. Excellent product!

Really fast shipping. I upgraded to a new mini with a bigger screen and more power. It took about a hour to transfer my stuff from the other mini and updates things. Just have your old mini close and the new one does the rest. Very easy. I’ve been using it for hours and really like it. I already can’t wait for the new one. My previous mini was only 2 and a half years old and worked perfect.
