    I love the iPad mini. It’s a real computer, but the size of a paperback book. It fits in my purse but it’s a better size for reading than my iPhone. I use it as an e-reader, but also to read the daily paper and my email, play the crossword, watch movies.

    I'd much rather have purchased a Samsung tablet. I had to choose Apple for compatibility with another product. I'm not a fan of the OS. When I plug it it to charge, there's no way to stop start up. That's a time waster. Closing apps is clumsy requiring an upward curling swipe. Fails most times I try. You'll definitely want a protective case. Thin endge design make it more vulnerable to damage. This item is not ergonomic in the hands without a case. Slippery. Push and hold two buttons ...then swipe to shut off? Rediculous. Steve doesn't was you to turn it off. For the $500 I paid, a Samsung tablet would have delivered a larger screen and more value in my opinion.
