The form factor is what drove me to buy it, while a full size ipad would have been nice as soon who travels often the size of the ipad mini allows for it to be placed in most bags (and some pockets).

The ipad mini 6 was purchased to use with a Mavic 3 drone. It fills the bill and processes the signal well. The form factor fits the controller and brightness is good, even in daylight.

Own and iPhone and iPad Pro and this is the perfect compliment. Hardware wise it’s a bit out of date compared to other Apple touch decices that came out in 2021, but im glad to add it to my devices.

Was worried it wouldn’t be here for Christmas but it got delivered today.

This is a very nice case for the mini iPad that fits very snuggly.

Exactly what I was looking for for taking notes at work

I wanted to use this a few weeks before reviewing, just so the cute factor would wear off a bit and I could give a more practical review. If you are on the fence about the Mini vs. a larger iPad, make your decision on the intended use. If it’s for school or work, go bigger for sure. The Mini is a personal use device, very nice for media consumption, as a reader, journaling, communication, casual gaming etc. Pretty much perfect for all of that, but as I bought the pencil as well, I’ve discovered screen real estate is lacking for things such as document annotation, larger drawings, etc. The size is smaller than the previous Mini (but the screen is a bit larger). That being said, this will never be a one handed device. The tighter bezels make one handed holding a bit less comfortable than my old Mini, and I still have to prop it or my arm up to use while reclining. However it beats anything bigger for this type of use, so my complaints are minor. Performance is great, and as it’s the latest chip, it will have a little more software upgrade life, something that should be a consideration in any Apple product purchase. A few more observations: -Battery life is just fine. Depends on use anyway. -iOS 15 makes split screen use much easier. -The cameras are quite good for this device. The rear camera is fine in a pinch, with the added bonus of being able to edit it right on the device. The front camera is very good and brings another dimension to the device for FaceTime, Zoom calls etc. -Home Screen customization with widgets is adequate, but not as interactive as I would like. -64 gig size is ok unless you download stuff. If that’s the case you pretty much have to pony up for the 264, which kind of spoils the price point for this device. Kind of shady by Apple and they probably could have sold a gazillion more of these with 128 gig in the base model. Finally, the Apple Pencil is a nice accessory (as long as it fits the budget), even for casual use. Writing and drawing is lifelike and the tool set works really nice. A matte screen protector will be necessary for anything more than casual use though as the bare screen is too slick for precise use. I really didn’t need it to be honest, but I’ve happily discovered it to be really nice for taking quick notes, journaling, even normal touch screen use such as scrolling and tapping rather than using my finger. No regrets on this purchase.

Was excited about it. I have the 11 inch pro and this thing didnt really do it for me. I was excited about it being smaller, but just left me wanting more. Or my other ipad.
