    Great little i-pad!

What a change! This is a ver comfortable sized i-pad for travelors and complements my 15” Macbook Air very well. The A17 chip is plenty fast and the display is great. And yes I know Apple will update sometime in early 2026 - but this i-pad on sale hits all the buttons for most users! Do get a good cover for protection - size and materials made it a bit ‘slippery for me.

I absolutely love the iPad Mini A17 Pro—it’s everything I hoped for and more! While some may hesitate to upgrade due to the lack of groundbreaking changes, this device truly shines as an introduction to the iPad lineup. One standout feature is the new Apple Intelligence integration, which hasn’t received nearly enough attention. Gaining access to these innovative tools, along with the Apple Pencil Pro support, improved storage options, and the elimination of “jelly scrolling,” sets this iPad apart from its predecessor. While these may not feel like massive upgrades to some, they create an amazing opportunity for anyone new to the iPad ecosystem. Of course, everyone’s daily use will influence their decision, but for me, the iPad Mini A17 Pro has been the perfect investment. It’s portable yet offers a larger screen, making it ideal for illustrations and casual entertainment. Whether you’re looking for your first iPad or upgrading to meet specific needs, I can’t recommend it enough!

    Better than I expected

I have an iPad Pro, so I wasn't sure if I would like the mini. I only bought this because of its size. I am surprised at how much I use this. Because of the small size, I find myself taking this with me just about everywhere. I can drop it in my bag or just carry it with me. It runs my production tools very well, and has fast performance. I keep my documentation in Evernote, so everything is at my finger tips. All my apps run just as well on this as on my ipad pro with a few obvious exceptions. Video editing is limited. This can do it for small videos, but with the A17 chip, the Mini can't be expected to be a powerhouse. Basic video editing works fine. The screen is good, but don't expect it to look like an OLED. It's the convenience and small form factor that makes the iPad Mini shine. Unless I expect to do something that requires processing power, this is the device I carry.

The iPad mini is an excellent balance of performance and portability. It’s fast, responsive, and easy to hold for long periods, making it ideal for reading, browsing, note-taking, and streaming. The display is sharp, battery life is strong, and it handles everyday tasks without hesitation. If you want the power of an iPad in a compact, travel-friendly size, the iPad mini delivers.

A Tablet For All Your Needs

Honestly, it's the perfect sized device for journaling and watching YouTube. It's light, has a crisp screen, and feels smooth to use despite the 60hz refresh rate. It's high pixel density makes reading Kindle books feel nice too, although it's hard to beat e-ink. It's very portable and easy to throw into my messenger bag when I am on the go. It feels significantly bigger than my phone without being too cumbersome to hold with one hand. It seems like the perfect companion device to a larger laptop or tablet for primary productivity. A solid choice for the small form tablet market, a sadly overlooked niche most of the time.

My iPad mini is perfect for me. It is small in size, easy to carry, and light weight. My mini is fast to work with. I also use my mini to store important documents with easy access to get to. It works well with Zoom and in making presentations at conferences. I recently used my mini to do a social gathering Zoom session with friends linking Finland and the USA. I can’t do better with my small, light weight and fast-working my mini.

Love the size. Performs very well. I added a screen protector that somehow made the screen look even better. Only downside is that it's not OLED, so when watching movies or shows in the dark, the IPS glow is noticeable but not bad. Wish it had an OLED screen but then it would be more expensive. Also, I wish it had a 120Hz refresh rate, but at the end of the day, that would just be a bonus. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

The best iPad I have ever used

I’ve changed form factors on iPads a few times now. This is my second iPad mini (I had the 2nd generation). I like the size but I never liked the storage. This 256 gb iPad is just what I needed. The physical and storage sizes fit with my life really well. My iPad fits in the smallest of my EDC slings and is really the most portable of all the iPads. The lighter weight is a plus, too. The ability that Apple builds into its devices to automatically start the hotspot on my phone is great, but for me it wasn’t enough and I did exchange this for the WiFi+Cellular unlocked version. I like not having to take my phone with me but still be as connected as I want to be, and what is the point of such a portable device without having to find free WiFi everywhere you go?

I recently purchased the iPad Mini 7, and it has been an absolute game-changer. This device has become my go-to companion that I carry everywhere. It’s lightweight, super portable, and the perfect size to slip into any bag or just hold in hand. The display is crisp and vibrant, making it awesome for watching videos, reading, or getting some quick work done on the go. All in all, this iPad Mini 7 is just the best thing ever—I wouldn’t want to be without it!

Very happy with the iPad mini 7. I had previously had the iPad mini 6 with 64gb of storage (which wasn't enough) so in purchasing this one I definitely wanted more storage so I opted for the 256gb. It is a great content streaming device, which I primarily use it for and the size makes it so easy to take along with me on vacation. The A17pro chip is quite a step up from the previous chipset and is powerful enough to play some heavy duty games, if so desired. I am pleased with this purchase and I got a very generous trade-in from Best Buy on my iPad mini 6 which made it a no brainer. No regrets.

Very portable and can fit into my pocket even. Perfect size of display for enjoying any content. I upgraded from the previous generation, so I experienced a significant boost in performance—even though the screen brightness and refresh rate remain the same. The only thing I wish for is a larger battery. Otherwise, it's an excellent device.

I’ve got my second iPad mini, and it’s a great upgrade from my old mini 6. This 7th-gen model is a bit faster and comes with some cool Apple features, so it’ll last me a few more years. If you’re looking for a tablet that’s perfect for watching movies and browsing the web, this is the one for you. It’s got a bigger screen than your phone and is super lightweight, so it’s easy to carry around.

Love it! I was torn between the mini and the iPad Air, but because of the mini's size I opted for the 256GB. I am very happy with it. It's perfect to fit into a slip briefcase or purse or small carry-bag. I don't game on it, so that was not a priority in my decision-making. It has replaced my old Kindle and my old Android 10 inch tablet perfectly! The battery life is exactly what they say it is, and it syncs with my Macbook brilliantly.

I hardly ever used my older iPad anymore. After the novelty wore off I found it bulky and a bit cumbersome. After seeing some reviews about how great the iPad mini is for portability I decided to give it a try. Well the reviews weren’t wrong! It’s so lightweight and easy to hold in bed while browsing, reading, or playing any games. It’s a great alternative to my phone when I’m just scrolling in the evenings.

Great size, fast, very convenient for reading manga, watching movies. When I build legos with my GF, she uses the physical book while I use the Lego app on the iPad and it’s a similar size so it works out great. Also as a monitor for flying the drone.
