I switched to the iPhone 16 expecting efficiency, but it quickly became clear this phone is not designed for power users, especially those coming from Android. Key issues: No physical SIM slot (eSIM-only), which complicates multi-line and international use. No SMS archiving or native bulk export, making it hard to manage important message threads. Weak WhatsApp notifications — only a few lines are visible, and messages stack on top of each other. Easy to trigger accidental “read” receipts when opening notifications. WhatsApp calls mixed into the Phone app, with no way to separate them from regular calls. Links from emails often open in Safari instead of the relevant app, adding unnecessary steps. Very limited notification controls compared to Android. Slippery design, making one-handed use uncomfortable without a case. Voice-to-text is noticeably worse than Android, requiring frequent corrections. Bottom line: The iPhone 16 is smooth and well-built, but its software restrictions, messaging workflow, and dictation quality make it frustrating for advanced users. Android users who value control and efficiency should think twice.

Not much more to say about it. It was a good deal on the previous edition of the desirable iPhone. I hope to get as good service from this as my previous iPhone (7). Plus, since Best Buy dropped the price two days after I bought it, they made it very easy to do the "price match" and gave me credit for the price difference. Well worth watching your item's price.
