Two things I like about this Apple backup battery/case ... first it uses a standard lightning plug and not a micro-USB plug, so all of my existing charging cables work perfectly with it. Second, it uses the battery from the CASE first before pulling battery from the phone. I've only had this smart battery case for about a week now, but I can literally go two whole days without charging my phone. It's also very lightweight (considering all the extra backup power it provides).

Great case. Battery pack works seamlessly with the phone (obviously since it is Apple). Only thing is that the case has fallen apart on the corners after only a few months use. Pretty bad for $100 product.

Apple's case is lighter than the others, and keeps my phone going all day without complaint. No buttons to push, and it displays charge amount of both the internal battery and the case battery. Nice! Add to that the grip of the material used, and it is the perfect case for me! My husband uses an 8 plus, which oddly Apple does make a case for. Sorry, perhaps you'd like to change phones for the case?

Near perfect product with rapid charging and longer life than other brands.

I was surprised at the ease and connectivity of this case. Works very well with the phone, and its not overly bulky.

I love the Apple battery case cause it gives extra batter time and is compatible with my iPhone.

I have owned several Mophie charger cases in the past but this time I wanted one that would not only charge the phone and protect it, but that also used the lightning plug. Its a great product.

This charging case gives you an extra battery while protecting your phone. Great buy!

I have had this phone case for a couple months now and it appears to be holding up about the same as previous iPhone cases with included battery. My only negative comment on this case is each one has eventually torn somewhere on the silicone casing. Doesn’t really cause much harm it just looks bad. Apple needs to fix this issue. 100% certain it’s due to coming in and out of my pocket all day. wouldn’t be a problem if this was a standard low dollar case but when you spend this much, you expect the quality to last longer.

gives more than 24 hours with one charge, excellent grip. And i really like the battery meter in the widget.

The real reason I turned to Apple for a cover with a battery is that it has the texture that is easier to hold on to, compared to the senselessly slick Mophie cover with a battery. More color choices would be great: black or white--oh, scintillating!

This is a well designed excellent battery case. It’s my second and it fits an iPhone 6,7, and 8

I like that the battery is used before the phone battery drains. Easy to remove and replace the case as well.

This Apple battery case is slimmer than the previous model for the 6S but provides just as much extra juice.

Battery pack works very well and has not noticeably reduced the life of the phones battery (as some others do). It is a little heavy but feels good to hold.

Great time life, quality is great. Also, it gets hotter than I expect.

It charges my phone to 100%. I wish I could turn off when it can charge but it's a very slim battery case.

The case is great. It charges the phone and uses the same charger as your iPhone. Great product

I bought this case to stop the constant stress of worrying about the battery life of my phone when I lack access to a charge. When this case is charged up, I never fret using my iPhone to its fullest capacity. My phone last a full 12 hour day with constant use of talk time, apps, and internet. The only small problem I face is that many iphone accessories (bose dock) take a significant amount of time to charge case. Overall: I am very happy with this product.
