I was kind of nervous about buying this, because I had read reviews saying the microphone part of the Apple headphones doesn't work when you use the adapter... but that was incorrect. This adapter makes your old iPhone headphones work/function just like they always did on your old phone, and plugs into the new version of phones. Sound quality and voice quality are exactly the same.

Easy fix. I didn't have to buy new speakers. Just plug this in and the headphone jack magically available to connect your speakers. Only downside is you cannot charge your phone while listening because the lightning port is taken by the adapter. It's a few inches long so doesn't get in the way, durable and flexible.

Ever since Apple decided to remove the plug for head phones (ear-buds) from the iPhones (iPhone 7 & higher) I had issues. The main issue is that when you want to use wireless earbuds they need charging. The second issue is that after about 10 minutes my ears start to heart with ear-buds. I have wireless head sets, but to continuously charge them so that they are available when you need them is a pain. This item is a convenient inexpensive way to tackle the two issues above and if i lose the adapter cable it is not cost ridiculous to buy a new one. I have three of them because if you buy one, you will loose it. at least if you keep one in the house, one in the car or in a carry bag you know where they are. I have one tethered one to my favorite head set with a heavy duty elastic so that I can unplug it when I need to use the 3.5mm jack.

Came in very handy when I needed to drive long distance in a (R.I.P. Paul Walker) aka 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer) with a new generation IPhone and old school flip screen head unit with no bluetooth, this adapter is just too good of a product plug & play so I can listen to my rap (J_RoLL aka J_ROLL3R) @jroll3r)

The adaptor is small and convenient to have as, when not in use can easily fit in your pants side pocket or a small compartment in your purse. It allows my Apple phone to receive the same quality functions.

My kid got a new iPhone but doesn't have Bluetooth headphones and frankly, would just lose them and/or forget to charge them. This adapter has been a perfect solution! Cheaper than new headphones and doesn't require being charged. Exactly what I needed!

For those that want to continue using wired headphones/earbuds on newer iPhones that do not have the 3.5mm headphone jack, this adapter works great. I have a high quality wired earbuds that still work, and I still wanted to use them on a newer iPhone just purchased. Only drawback is not able to charge the phone at the same time. Apple makes another adapter that has a splitter to be able to charge the phone and plug in a headphone/earbuds at the same time, but costs more than twice the amount of this one.

I lose these things a lot and it's annoying that the iPhone went this way with their design. I have a pair of really expensive headphone I like to use so I need this thing. I could go blue-tooth but I have had these headphones for a while and I don't want to wear in another pair. So when I lose this thing again I will buy another. lol they work perfectly.

Simple plug and play with any set of headphones with a 3.5mm connection. I wish Apple never did away with the 3.5mm jack, but times are changing I suppose. The connection does seem solid enough that headphones won’t detach from the adapter while working out or if the headphone cable is tugged or pulled suddenly.

I purchased the Sony Headphones from BB, and needed to find the correct cable to use on Ipad 7th Gen. This Adapter works perfectly just for Headphone use; however I do have to unplug and recharge if I use for a long flight. Overall, this is a recommended item.

Great sound. I was looking for a way to charge my phone while I had it connected to my car. What I had in my old setup was ok. The sound quality on this is awesome. It connects beautifully to my aux cable leading to my car’s audio. Only problem I have is I wish it came in black or red to match my car.

Some of the newer iPhones etc. have eliminated the headphone jack. In those cases, this adapter is required to use standard headphones. While my iPad has a headphone jack, the cover / case I use makes connection difficult. This adapter is a handy way to fix the problem. At about $10, the price is reasonable. Since it is genuine Apple, there is no concern about quality or compatibility.

This adapter works perfectly for connecting my phone to my car’s AUX input. The sound quality is clear with no noticeable distortion or interference. It’s compact, durable, and fits securely. A bit pricey for a simple adapter, but it delivers reliable performance. Great solution for lightning devices! Really miss the aux port tho

I bought some headphones while visiting Chicago. I headed out for my run but realized that my new iphone had no speaker port. Returned to the store and the clerk showed me this adapter. It fits into the charging port and works well. I just wont be able to listen in headphones and charge my phone at the same time. Weird design choice by Apple but whatever....
