Purchased to use wired earbuds with the iPhone 13. Plug this piece into your phone and your earbuds into this piece and you have headphone for your iPhone 13. The downside is that you cannot charge your iPhone while using. (I’m not into wireless technologies too much). Not sure how long this piece will last, though, cause Apple wires seem to turtle neck and come apart after a while. It hasn’t happened yet but I’m waiting.
