I've purchased a few in the past that suddenly stop "supporting the device" even though they claim to be compatiable or even "made by Apple". I've currently had this item for a few months using it daily ans while at the gym and it's still a good quality product. I think buying any adapter that isn't priced for $30 or more from Apple is risky but I would recommend this product to save money!
