I have used mine since I went to a 7 and have found this dongle to be reliable and durable.

Lots of 3.5 mm devices (car audio connector, headphones, etc.). Guess I will need to keep these around until Bluetooth connectivity is incorporated on EVERYTHING.

The cable makes the audio jack connectable to the Apple devices so you have the freedom to choose what headsets you use and do not have to go out to buy an Apple headset. This cable is inexpensive compared to the cost of a new headset - so a more cost effective solution.
