This used to be free with purchase of an iPhone

Also, many iPhone users use noise canceling headphones with standard mini connectors requiring the use of this adapter to work with current iPhones. The product itself is fine but should have been included with the new iPhone

I don't like that its necessary to use this to have wired audio but it is what it is. At its price it seems slightly overpriced but knowing Apple it could have cost more.

I would also expect that for $10 bucks that it would allow me the ability to go to the next song from my steering wheel in my car, but it doesn't. Considering that you have no other choice but to purchase this product if you want to continue using your iphone 7 in your new car, I guess I would have to recommend it, but not highly. :-)
