Lost my old adapter (they're pretty small) so bought a new one and had absolutely no problem with it so far.

It does its job connecting my iPhone to a monitor. Haven’t had any issues with it.

This worked as designed. I used this on my motorcycle.

With 'after market' headphones, such as Bose, the on wire control buttons that control the volume, etc, DO NOT work with this adapter. Not sure about the older apple headphones with the 3.5mm jack because i haven't tried it yet.

I own a Sony surround system and you could connect your old iPhones directly to the system to play your music. Well when apple decided to change their charging cable. I had to buy this adapter to be able to play the new iPhones through it. Kind of sucked. Oh well what can one do, right. Atleast the price was reasonable.

Bought 2 of these at the same time, first one lasted about a month and the second about 2 weeks. Checking the Apple site shows thousands of reviews stating the exact same behavior. Thin wiring and allowing it to have excessive bending are probably to blame. Going to try the Insignia version to see if it's any better but this is just not a reliable product at all.

I've been through more of these than I can count, despite being careful with them. The cable is just too thin to be durable, and inevitably, even under normal use, they'll break, even without any external physical damage. Apple really needs to improve the quality on these, and stop bricking cables made by other companies.

Doesn’t work well, but good for people who need to swap from iphone jack to regular audio jack

When I plug in my headset using this thing and record, I get a nasty little buzzing noise in the background. Annoying! Since I'm using my headset to /improve/ my audio experience, this makes the whole thing 100% useless.

When I plugged it into my phone and my aux wire it didn't work and my phone said the device wasn't compatible with my iPhone. So pretty much just money down the drain. :(

Although it is cheap, each one I've owned has lasted about 2 weeks each. I have gone through 4 before the music skips and stutters and the dongle stops working completely. Horrible product.
