It’s unfortunate that apple is moving in a direction that forces us to buy such things, but the dongle does what it is supposed to do.

Considering the iphone 7 doesn't have a headphone jack, this is needed for an older model car that only has an auxiliary in jack (no bluetooth connection for music). It functions great for that use, and it's probably the cheapest thing that Apple sells.

This is a great product for mobile use, and older products without bluetooth.

Well if apple had a headphone jack you would t need this but since I’m still old school I gotta use it

I got a new iPhone and when I went to plug in my earbuds...there was no jack to plug them in to! What? So now, I head back to store to purchase an adapter...and it worked. Now my earbud cord will always be 2 inches longer but oh well!

If you have earphones which use a standard micro phone plug you cannot use them with new Apple products that only have a lightening port for headphone. The dongle works well but wish Apple would bring back the phone jack on iPhones.

I understand that Apple decided to go with the new output port to make it more waterproof, but it is a pain if you loose your new earphones that come with it. This adapter is perfect! Works great 100% of the time with even the oldest set I own.

Perfect i didnt know they even had these available,perfect for my sons Iphone when he lost both his iPods, i said use this with your headphones,it worked perfectly

It’s simple, easy to use, and does the job. My son had an older phone for which he used a mic to record sound for videos on his phone. Instead of buying a new mic this made the conversion easy.

This is an essential connector for me since I listen to audio books much of the time and don't care for the fit of the apple earbuds. I have bought several, and this device has worked perfectly for me. I wholeheartedly recommend them to others.

works perfectly with any iOS device with a lightning adapter. have yet to run into a 3.5mm headset that doesn't work with this. it really sucks to lose this item so buy a couple (they're only $10) and you'll have a spare all the time!

I have a cable in my car to listen to my phone music through the Aux feature. With my iPhone 8 I couldn’t connect due to the lightning outlet. Needed this to adapt instead of buying a new cord. Saved money with this purchase.

I upgraded from an iphone 6s+ to an iphone xr. Since Apple no long supplies the 3.5mm to lightning dongle, I had to buy my own. I think the price is slightly high for what it is. I bought an after market one on amazon, but it gave feedback. This dongle makes the sound crisp and clear, and does not cause static when moved around. I recommend, but wish Apple would've supplied it in the box.

I lost my headphone adapter for my IPhone 7plus and was easily able to purchase one at my local Best Buy. It works as advertised and now I'm up and running and listening to my favorite music. Best Buy keeps these in stock so it was easy to purchase.

I cannot say anything bad about the actual adapter itself in terms of quality, everything is OK there. Where I am docking one star is because I have to use this thing in the first place (if I want wired audio quality that is to say). I'll refrain from preaching about audio philosophies and such, but I will recommend this nonetheless for people who just can't do wireless audio at the moment.

Nothing special but it does what its supposed to do with the newer phones and older 3.5mm jacks. I use it with my Bose QC in ear headphones while traveling. I don't think Apple includes this with their current phones anymore.
