This adapter is strong and compatible with all phones and tablets in our household Have bought off brands from Amazon and Ebay that said they would work but did not. Stick with what you know will work!

The new iPhones don’t have audio jacks, and if you want a Bluetooth wireless ear buds, that’s fine, however if you like traditional head phones/ear buds then you’ll need a lightning adapter like this. It works fine, but since it uses the phone’s lightning input, you can’t charge it and listen at the same time.

Not a fan of Apple's decision to remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack, but I'm getting used to it. This adapter is essential if you purchase an iPhone 7, which does come with one. And having a second adapter is advisable. I have an older vehicle which only has an input jack with no Bluetooth. This adapter is the fix for that, and I can tell that the audio is better quality when using lightning port connected earbuds. The other issue I had was I find myself often charging my phone while I am listening with earbuds, but there's a fix for that, too. Belkin makes a splitter that gives you two lightening ports which you can use to charge and listen -- with this included adapter, of course. I will get used to this... Search for "Belkin MFI Lightning Audio + Charge"

This adapter works great. It was a bit of surprise to discover my headphones did not fit in my new iphone without this, but it is an easy and slick fix!

Lightweight and super easy to use. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to plug my iPhone into aux to play music in my car and I also play music w/ my headphones when I exercise. It's perfect.

works as described - don't care that the end is different on my phone, but there is always reason for change. Headphones sound great using this adapter.

With Apple starting the trend of removing headphone jacks, keeping a couple extra adapters is a necessity. This one is typical Apple quality, and works as expected. Do yourself a favor and buy two.

Due to no headphone jack, this was the only thing that helps us use the "legacy" headphones in the house. Someone should tell apple that 3.5mm jacks are still used and will be used for a very long time.

This is designed to allow the user to adapt a 3.5 mm headphone jack to an Apple phone with a lightning port. You don’t need it for Bluetooth headphones. However, if you have old wired headphones that sound great and you don’t want to get rid of them, you can’t simply plug them into your latest iPhone that only has a lightning port. This little gizmo fixes that issue, and appears to be very well built, as most Apple products are. At $10 it’s a tad expensive, but if you need it, I’d recommend you stick with the Apple brand for quality.

It's a superb, well-built, high-quality dongle. It allows you to use a set of wired headphones on your new bluetooth-only iDevice. It's a compromise, but at least it's a good compromise.

Perfect for converting iphone headphones from older versions of headphones to working with Iphone 7 or newer! Nice grip, does not fall apart and works flawlessly. Much easier than buying new headphones.

Tried this with several older headphones and earbuds with the 3.5mm jacks and they all worked fine. Sound quality is the same as when using the headphones directly. Will keep a couple around as they're handy when I just need to have headphones quickly and my Bluetooth buds are being recharged.
