Unfortunate that these are necessary for using wired headphones, but it’s not this adapter’s fault. You can buy this for $10 or buy AirPods for $150+. This is a great accessory and works with my aux cable in the car and with my wired headphones.

If you need 3.5mm jack on your iPhone, this is what you need. Works great and I can't tell the difference plugged into an iPhone that has a headphone jack vs one using this adapter. Apple should include this with their phones, but they don't. It probably costs them a few cents to make. meh.

If you have old headphones and don’t want to upgrade this little adapter works well. I use mostly when traveling because I want headphones for my new phone and gene on airplane can use same headphones to connect to airplane video screen. That way I only need to bring one pair of headphones.

I like buying earbuds with this attachment just in case I need headphones at work. Being able to plug in the computers using earbuds is nice. A lot of my work training is on computers with no speakers. This little attachment in the proper earbuds come in real handy.

Works Great! Use for my new iPhone 14 pro max so I can listen to Apple Music with my wired Apple Beats pro high performance studio headphones. Purchased the headphones in 2015 and still my favorite.

I initially bought something cheaper on amazon and found that it was not fully compatible. Apparently many are only good for music but not for making phone calls. Then I bought these ones - Apple original - and they just work ! All functions, as expected ! I recommend. I bought 2.

Allows you to use your IPhone with a 3.5mm headphone adapter. I have a Cambridge Soundworks Playdock and this allowed me to be able to use it with the new Apple phones that no longer have a headphone jack. Excellent money saver to be able to use your older items with newer phones.

Works as listed for headphones or to use with an aux cord i needed this for my car as it only takes aux cord i just can’t drive with no music

My son recently got the iPhone 7, and he wears hearing aids. He needs the adapter to plug in the Bluetooth cord that makes it so that the sound from the iPhone goes directly to the hearing aid. The adapter works fine. Just wish the iPhone had a headphone jack, because he can't charge his phone and listen to music or talk in the phone at the same time.

The adapter was very easy to use. Great sound quality as well.

Genuine Apple adapters are the only ones that will support our families use of plug in headphones with our iPhones including an8+ and Xs. Typical APple that they force you to buy their products. Other brands work to listen to music but do not work with calls-only true Apple adapters.

It's difficult to rate something so simple yet so expensive for what it is. I guess that if we take the price out of the review, the product works just as described and it does feel sturdy. The way Apple builds its products cannot be attacked, however, the pricing on them is just ridiculous. Unless you are looking for something that won't fail on you (or rarely it will).

Was having a tough time connecting my bluetooth earphones with my iphone..most of the time - I forget charging my earphones.. and need to switch to regular ones. This adapter made it easy to connect my phone and take calls. Have been using it for over 10 months and it works well.

The adapter works just fine to connect your audio headset (including an older official Apple headset) for either just listening to music/audio or a phone headset - including microphone - to your iPhone or lightning equipped iPad. That said, it’s a bit annoying to carry around, particularly if you have some devices that are USB-C, some that are Lightning and some that just have a 3.5” port, you end up carrying around multiple adapters and switching. But, it does what it’s supposed to do!

Very good way to bridge the gap between old and new. I have an older car, and like the fact that I can use it to play music from my phone.
