Pretty straightforward cable -- allows you headphone capability with any lightning connection. Play tablet games silently or use it to connect your tablet or lightning iDevice to any convention analog TRS connection. (Also very affordable compared to other specialized Apple cables).

Obviously apple made the iPhone 7 this way to make more money but honestly this thing works great, I'm pretty sure it even makes the sound louder and more clear. I would recommend getting the apple connecter rather than any off brand cheap-o one. It's not a bad price either for an apple product!

I have about 8 of these for use with higher end headphones and they work great to let my Iphone (7 and 10) talk to my wired headphones. Works for both listening and talking on headphones. A little pricey like all products from the big A.

Great product. We use it at our local church to put music from the iPhone to the mixer. Works great.

It works for its intended use. Unlike some I'm not overly "annoyed" at the iPhone 7's lack of 3.5mm headphone jack. It is kind of a bummer to not be able to charge and listen at the same time, but this isn't a review for the phone, its a review for the adaptor. It works well, it doesn't unplug from the headphones or auxiliary cord easily, or yank out from the phone easily. And allows me to listen to music from my phone at the office, in my wifes car, or wherever I may desire. Yay.

The adapter works as advertised. Whats more important for this review is the expert assistance I received from the best buy employee. I am not an apple person (Android for me) but my son needed this for his phone. The explanation and assistance in getting me what I needed was priceless..thank you

I am glad I found this little gem! Since my iPhone SE doesn't have a headphone jack anymore this item lets me use a pair of cheapy ear buds if my bluetooth ones are on the charger.

Apple makes the best products that do what they are supposed to do. Now I can use my wired earbuds with my new iPhone.

I wish apple would not have removed the conventional headphone jack on the iPhone 7, but this adapter makes it tolerable.

Awesome!! I needed a way to connect my credit card reader to my new iPhone X. Since the new phone does not have a "headphone" jack, i tried this to connect me CC reader. Works great, I can now swipe credit cards with my iPhone!!

The adapter does what it is supposed to do. I would prefer if Apple had just left the headphone jack in place.

Worth the purchase to have an extra headphone adapter. It's great to have an extra adapter to take with me to the gym and I keep another one in a different purse. Wish it came with a small, simple container because it is so small and easy to lose so I devised my own. I am thrilled to have a spare

Not only does this work great for new phone, but it has fixed expensive problem with daughters iPad! Her headphone jack broke and now she can use this for her headphones and we are all so happy!

I love this little adapter. It is so easy to carry and keep with me. I can't use apple headphones because of how they fit in my ears. This adapter is great so that I can use my headphones with out a problem. Would recommend it to anyone having the same issues.

As Apple did away with the mini jack port, this works perfectly. It’s a shame that you need to pay $10 to plug in your headphones though!

I had to buy this adapter so I could use my Bose wired earbuds with my iPhone. Works perfectly and small enough to fit in the Bose case. A bonus that the price was knocked down a few dollars.

Short enough and convenient. Transitioning to today’s digital market it a plus not only for hand held but for transportation as well.

This little device is a life saver for airplanes when you need headphones and can’t find AirPods!

There’s not much to say about this adapter. It does it’s job in adapting my wired beats headphones to my phone. It is extremely disappointing that Apple expects you to pay $900 for a phone and can’t include a $10 adapter. The response I get is that most everyone has wireless headphone now. Well, not me. So, Apple, include the adapter. You can afford it. I “recommend it to a friend” because you have no choice if you have headphone with a wire.
