I still use wired headphones and have used many an aftermarket dongle but the best ones still seem to be the apple brand.

use this to connect my apple to my speaker 3.5 mm headphone jack, because iphone only has a lightning to use input, it has no 3.5 mm input. Highly recommend this adaptor, it works great.

They do the job but are a pain in the buttocks. Easy to lose and still don’t understand why they don’t include another charging port on the adapter. I realize BlueTooth is an option for most, but it is unreliable and is not compatible with high end sound equipment or PA speakers where you need to use a 3.5mm adapter. Would be happy to buy a couple of these if they had the extra bunt hole to connect a charging cable so that when you are using your phone in a live performance situation, your phone/iPad won’t die. I know a lot of drummers that rely on using 3.5mm cables to route to their in-ear monitors for sound, click-track or backing tracks. They are moving over to other products besides Apple because of this.

Needed this ASAP!! Trip planned, movies download to phone but iPhone X-Plus does not have a normal headphone connection I need for my noise cancelling head phones. Found these at Best Buy, and it worked like a charm.

This is an exact replacement for a wire that magically disappeared from my gig vehicle. Thanks to my 22 year old son, I now have to keep it out of site. Thanks to Best Buy I was able to obtain both wires at different times on discount.

Overall, the lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter for Apple devices is decent. Given the price, it is good, and the ease of use is something that a seven year old could figure out, however, the cable can eventually wear, and it will need to be replaced. Along with that (although this is not something being factored into the review), it is extremely easy to lose. 3.5/5

This connector is a bit pricey, but it allows me to use my old headphones and Rode VideoMic with my new iPhone/iPad. The money it saves on buying replacement accessories makes it worth it. Wish you could charge while using it, but it is what it is...

I bought non-Apple brands and they worked for sound, but not for data. So I had to purchase OEM. I run a business and with the removal of the headphone jack my credit card readers will only work with this adapter. So this is verified teated with PayPal & Square card readers.

to hear music in the car this device is great but it does not charge the i-phone

This is a bit on the pricey side for something that apple removed that everyone had used in the past. I got this for my dad, since he loves listening to stuff on his iphone and this is the best option without going out to buy expensive bluetooth headphones.

This headphone adapter was a God send for my headset to allow me to hear phone calls on my I Phone. I am very hard of hearing and the two items together allow me to conduct business again. very happy and appreciative of these products.

This along with an aux cable makes all the difference in you car when it comes to sound and I highly recommend it.

Again, I keep thinking I will find the perfect aftermarket. Never have- this is the second Apple one (I accidentally sliced my first) and I went through about 3 aftermarket and they all were static-y and the sound quality was horrid
