    For a 6 inch long $10 dollar wire it works just as it should. No problems at all.

    Yes. It works like it should but Apple should provide these for free to any who request them. A multi-trillion dollar company takes away the capability of using 3.5 mm headphones then charges its users a fee in order to regain the use of their headphones.
