The standard analog connection that works with almost everything was not included in recent Apple mobile products. I use analog to easily connect my iPhone and iPad to various sound systems at work and at home that don't have the new wireless connectivity options. This adapter brings back this much needed capability to the new Apple Mobile devices at a reasonable price. Highly recommended if you need analog connectivity.
