    I am not a fan of using the apple cordless ear phones to listen to music and podcasts so I opt for the "old school" earphones with the cord. But since my iphone cord adapter is not compatible with the new ipad I needed to buy another adapter. I was expecting to pay $20 but was pleasantly surprised, as was the cashier, that this Apple product only cost $9.99.
