After reviewing several other ones, I went with the one made by Apple for several reasons. For one. It works with any wired headset with a microphone. And for two, you can use a regular y splitter to listen with a friend. Thirdly, the quality is top notch.

Comes in authentic Apple packaging and is immediately accepted by my iPhone X and iPhone 7. I have been using this jack for a month now without any issues. I have connected several headphones to my iPhone through this jack and have always got excellent sound. Earlier I had got a not compatible message from a generic lightning to headphone jack.

The school my daughter attends does not allow wireless headphones so this plug allowed Sony headphones to be used with her school IPAD. Very easy to use.

Although I hate having to use an adaptor just to plug in my headphones, the review is based on whether or not this works. It works, but it would be nice if these were included with an iphone instead of having to shell out more money yet again. I bought wireless headphones since getting this, so I guess it's a backup if I forget to charge those up.

I was so upset when I had to get a new iPhone and had no idea it no longer had an earphone jack. Thank goodness they make these! I use it for listening to my phone in the car, noise cancelling headphone for mowing the lawn and earphones for walking my dog. Works perfectly!

I had an adapter from a less-reputable company, and it went bad after about a year. This one, from Apple, worked instantly. Lesson learned. Don't get a less brand just to save a couple of bucks. This is a classic case of you get what you pay for.

With my new phone I have an older car and I did not know how I was going to use my Bluetooth. The staff was very helpful of me picking out accessories and this is one of the ones that I needed is very happy with it use it all the time

These work great to connect to our car auxiliary ports. Unfortunate Apple has to use something different, but they do the trick, so our lightning devices connect to the car stereo's. Pretty inexpensive as well, around $10.00.

Much needed accessory when you are still reliant upon 3.5 mm headphones when using updated iPhones. I have a Boeing noise canceling headphones and had to upgrade my phone and was glad to have found the adapter so I didn’t feel my expensive headphones was going to waste.

The 3.5 mm connection to Lightning is exactly what I needed to have an external mic operate through the IPhone 7+. As the host of radio talk programs, I use the IPhone 7+ with an app that allows me to broadcast through the phone. This connector gives me full broadcast quality and is an excellent choice for anyone wanting to use an external mic through their IPhone.

Works as designed for those of us who still have wired headphones that still sound excellent and want to plug them into newer Apple devices that don't have a headphone jack.

Very useful and gives you more options to buy other brands that still use 3.5mm. 3.5mm remains standard for many audio devices.

It does what I need it to. Friends with iPhones used it to play music in my car on a road trip. Worked great

My husband didn’t want earbuds for his new iphone. The salesman at best buy suggested an adapter for his old earphones so we decided to try that. It was only about ten dollars. As soon as we got home he plugged in the adapter and his old earphones. The adapter was perfect!

Even if you want Bluetooth headphones or have any auxiliary ports left in your life. This is it for you and you need it for the new iPhone. Basically a must. When your battery dies in your Bluetooth doesn’t work you can just plug it right into your phone. Everyone who has the new iPhone should have one of those as well
