If you still use headphones like me (so yesterday...) then you have to have an extra one of these on hand at all times in case you lose the original or it stops working correctly. I am not a fan of the headphone jack delete on the iPhone 7 but it is what it is so you need a back up adapter. This is the genuine Apple part that came with your iPhone 7.

Yes, a headphone adapter! It is wonderful but honestly, why doesn't Apple couldn't just include a headphone outlet on the phone! Though if Apple had a headphone outlet, it would have deprived me of the opportunity to use this handy-dandy adaptor.

Works perfectly. Really useful when traveling internationally. Allows you to use one set of wired headphones for the airplane as well as your iPhone.

If you have old headphones and don’t want to upgrade this little adapter works well. I use mostly when traveling because I want headphones for my new phone and gene on airplane can use same headphones to connect to airplane video screen. That way I only need to bring one pair of headphones.

If you need 3.5mm jack on your iPhone, this is what you need. Works great and I can't tell the difference plugged into an iPhone that has a headphone jack vs one using this adapter. Apple should include this with their phones, but they don't. It probably costs them a few cents to make. meh.

The adapter works just fine to connect your audio headset (including an older official Apple headset) for either just listening to music/audio or a phone headset - including microphone - to your iPhone or lightning equipped iPad. That said, it’s a bit annoying to carry around, particularly if you have some devices that are USB-C, some that are Lightning and some that just have a 3.5” port, you end up carrying around multiple adapters and switching. But, it does what it’s supposed to do!

This, just like every other Apple product I own, works as it should and is a quality item. It’s more expensive than non-Apple brand adapters, but having tried generic accessories/chargers/cords in the past and realizing they all made my phone or iPad act funny, it’s worth it to spend a little extra on the Apple brand stuff.

We needed to connect the Apple music on our iPads and iPhones to our Bose system and the salesman at BestBuy took us right to the cords that we would need. They work beautifully!
