    I wanted a reader that would read and write (import and export) documents, photos, music, and videos. This device only imported photos. Best Buy's sd card reader for PC's (USB 3) will read and write and play/preview documents, music, photos, and videos.

    It’s a great device to get pictures or videos over to your iPhone pretty quickly. I bought this because my DSL our camera does not have Wi-Fi capability so this was a great substitute.

    It transfers pics from SD cards to ios devices. Apple changed the way it works. You used to open photos and imported the pics there, now you do it in files.

    If you shoot a lot of pictures like I do you need this! It is a lot faster than transferring photos over wifi/Bluetooth, specially if you are going to edit on the iPad in RAW.
