    Apple doesn’t have a place for a card slot so I can hook this up and transfer over pictures and whatever else within seconds

    much faster transfers than using wireless from my Canon 70 D. I can download and view 25-30 Raw 25 mb files almost instantly.

    It's great for photography. You could download your photos from your SD Card. The only downside is that if you are trying to download your videos is going to be slow. Another, downside I don't believe it will let you download a RAW image.
