    It works as described and allows me to transfer photos on to my iPad. I had a cheaper no name version, but one of the iOS updates caused it to become 'incompatible'. Hopefully, this will continue working through updates.

    This will allow sd cards from camera to transfer photo file, but my Sony videos will not transfer. Found out this is problem with files of certain brands to apple. The photo part is plug and play, plug in and up load is displayed.
