    I was told this was a reader/writer when I bought it. It only reads, but it does a good job of that so I kept it. I would have given it 5 stars if it's abilities had been described correctly to me when I asked.

    While on vacation, the last thing I wanted to bring was a laptop. This let me offload videos from my GoPro. I was able to edit those videos directly on my iPad and never had any concerns about no having enough space on my micro SD cards

    It is a shame the Apple does not include a SD reader on their iPads, I guess because they can sell additional dongles.
