I dont understand

Because I have purchased a brand new IPad, and wanted to just have all of my pictures there. Well I plugged it into my iPad and plugged my USB in and it said “too much power, cant upload”. I was very aggravated, why make something for an apple and not be able to use it??? So I had to slowly email myself all the pictures and it took 3 days! If I would have known that I couldn’t use that, I would have never waisted the time or money to go buy it!
