While I do think the Apple OS should allow more flexibility on applications that can access the files, for use with Photos it worked great. Used with cards from 16gb to 128gb and everything was fine. Only thing I don’t really care for is that speed is on the slow side with 9.7” iPad Pro. Newer models should be better
