I've always used apple products, owned MacBook pros, iMacs, iPads, etc....I absolutely love how lightweight and sleek this computer is. Not to mention the screen resolution and speed. I came home and 24 hours later my roommate bought the same one. We live and breath work on these machines and couldn't be happier with the purchase

Bought to replace a 4 year old MacBook Air. Almost as fast (MBA wasn't feeling slow, just needed more on the go space), keypads are essentislly the same size. The screen is almost as big when you hold them next to okne another, but boy howdy is the MB a million times more colorful and bright. Awesome sound for such a little thing. You'll need the silly USB / HDMI adapter more often than Apple suggests you do.

The laptop is definitely lightweight and portable. By far the best in that sense. The new single outlet for charging is nice, but no usb slots is a little annoying. Just buy an adapter for that and its all good. Still a great buy.

I got this MacBook for college and I absolutely LOVE it! The only downside is the quality of the front camera, but every thing else is great. It's easy to use and the force pad is super helpful. The screen is so clear and the charging takes less than an hour from 0-100! Great laptop!

I purchased this for my sister for Christmas. So far she is loving it. Only time will tell as to how long the speed of the computer holds up. At time of purchase the speed is more then adiquite for all tasks except for heavy gaming and video editing files larger then 1080p. The force touch trackpad is amazing! 4 stars because the price is a little high for the system specs. If it hadn't been for the good deal I got over the holidays I may have opted for the less expensive Mac Air.

Item is perfect for student. Has great battery life. Only drawback for a lot of people is the need for port adaptor. This is required to maintain smaller size while maintaining bigger keyboard.

I really love this new Macbook! Unlike any other laptops, which are huge and heavy, this macbook is so normal size and very light weighted. It is so easy to carry around everywhere, it feels like I am carrying my phone with me. I was not a big fan of Macbook before, but now I am really in love with macbook. I would really recommend to buy this laptop if you are looking for a easy to carry laptop.

The thinness of this computer truly amazed me when I first saw it. Looking at pictures online and even watching videos didn't convince me at how thin it actually was until I saw it in person. It is so much thinner than the MacBook Air; you'd be crazy to buy the Air over the MacBook due to price or features. True, the MacBook isn't as powerful as the Pro or even the Air, but a casual user isn't going to notice. I program some and the MacBook handles everything just fine, besides the mega battery drain. However, I would caution you to making this a primary computer. There are times I move to my 2012 MacBook Pro i7 for anything that really memory heavy, like playing Civilization V. Overall, it is a great computer and you won't be disappointed!

Long an Apple enthusiast, but until recently forced to use the "other" OS because of industry software which wouldn't run on Mac - finally decided it has been too long. What a delightful machine - lightweight, easy keyboard, great software, incredible detailed screen, and consistent interface. Tiny, so easy to take along. Looking forward to getting re-acquainted with the Mac!!

Sleek, light, and the definition of a mobile computer. There is just one port but if you need any more than that on-the-go, this isn't the laptop you should be purchasing anyway. The keyboard is new and fantastic. Highly recommended and satisfied.

The size of an 11" MacBook Air, with a 12" screen, great battery life and pretty much bulletproof. We returned a base model 13" Macbook (Christmas present) that my wife thought was too bulky, even though she has owned 2 others. If you can find an open box return, especially when they offer an extra 10% off open box items, this would be a great purchase. Very impressive machine. My wife has no complaints. Premium Apple Quality at a Premium Price.

This little gem is almost perfect. Great screen, surprisingly excellent keyboard, despite the lack of depth, and super super light. The lack of ports gave me pause for a few days until I realized this isn't my main computer, I have an iMac for that--and Airdrop takes care of file transfer anyways. Bluetooth everything. The biggest complaint I have is the battery life. Is it a deal breaker? No. But it could be improved. I want to not have to think about when and where I'm going to charge this thing--but the ultra portability of a full computer is priceless.

This is a tiny little machine with great big abilities. Can't beat the screen and certainly love the long battery life. It isn't a machine to sit and crank out movies all day, but if you need a all day laptop for work, this is the pick for you.

Nice purchase. Compared to my last macbook purchased in 2008, this is a great update. It's lightweight, portable, and quiet. I kept debating between this and a pro but ultimately decided on portability; however, the power/performance in the areas I need it most are satisfactory. All software I've put on the computer thus far works great and I have no complaints.

It's very thin and light and very compact! Love the keyboard too!!

I was surprised at how light this laptop was. It works well like other Mac laptops the only downside is having to purchase separate adapters, such as a USB port, HDMI port and others.

This computer is perfect for everything I need. It is so light and thin that it's as easy to carry as the iPad it replaced. It is extremely fast and the retina display is awesome! I would buy it again in an instant and have recommended it to many family members and friends.

The new MacBook is ultra thin and versatile, it is quick and so light I carry it and forget I have it in my laptop bag. The type ac connection is ok. But the screen resolution and keyboard are great features for college or work.
