Purchased this Macbook a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! It works perfectly. I mostly do word processing, web browsing, email, some minor photo/video apps but not photoshop or heavy video editing. Runs so fast, and is portable enough that no matter where I am I can set up shop and knock out some work. Battery is great, I usually will charge for a few hours every few days and have enough juice to keep me going. I don't use it consistently for the full work day. Would recommend this to anyone.

This laptop was purchased to replace an older Windows laptop. The speed on this laptop is excellent. The ease-of-use is excellent. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because there is not a USB port in this computer. You must buy an extra attachment that goes from lightning C to USB to connect other devices. My main purpose for buying this was to download pictures and videos. So when the computer came in the mail I was excited but then found out I couldn't transfer any of my pictures or videos. So the following weekend I had to make a drive an hour away to purchase the needed accessory. But I love Apple and I will continue to use its products but I do miss the USB port.

This laptop is great fast small light thin and the gold is awesome. You need to purchase usb adapter if you plan on plugging anything into this thing is the only thing you need to know another great apple product

Mac 12 is lighter and thinner than the 11. Also a little smaller. Super fast.

This MacBook is an incredible feat of engineering - so thin, screen is unbeliable and the gold color, classy. I'm never disappointed with my Apple purchases.

Images are bright, colorful and clear and speed superb. Screen size, dimensions and weight are what I need. it fits in my purse. I don't miss a desktop. I love the backlighting on the keyboard. I have been a Windows user but I am happy and very comfortable with the easy switch. I bought the USB-C to USB adapter and have been ready to go with the review of files saved to external discs.

I was using my 5 year old MacBook Pro and wanted something newer and lighter. I got it. I really love it. In the beginning I thought I would wind up with the Air, but this screen is just right. Yeah I read all the stuff about only one port and the new cable, yada, yada. But it didn't matter to me as I also have an iMac that can handle all the port stuff if I need it. I agree that the old keyboard on MacBook pro has a better feel than this one, but you get used to it. The price was hideous, but I picked up on a BB promotion so that made it go down better. No regrets from me.

This laptop is superb! A lot of people were worried about whether or not it was going to be slow or not. I mainly use this laptop for email, word documents, excel sheets and web surfing...all of this is for work. I can report that I have yet to have any speed problems. The screen is amazing! The keyboard was a bit strange at first but i actually love it now. If you want a beautiful ultra portable laptop then this is for you!

What can I say Apple did it again. This computer is fast and great looking. The slim design is second to none. Apple TV is a must have with this computer.

This is an excellent computer. It does run a bit slower, but its compact size makes up for that. Also, there are no USB ports, so I recommend getting the Macbook USB adapter.

You want an ultra portable that has great display and sound with MacOS capability? This MacBook is great for most of your everyday uses. Some folks call it a bit of MacOS kind of iPad Pro because it's that light and is about the same size. I, myself, just love the keyboard: there are no "dead spots" on each key and I find that I actually typed faster once I got used to it.

This 12'' laptop is so easy to carry around for traveling or working in a coffee shop. The battery is powerful and I just hope it has more USB ports.

Perfect laptop for someone on the go. It's lightweight and easy to throw in my bag whether I'm going to class or the office. I upgraded from a MacBook Pro and this one is just so much more convenient.

Really like the size of this Macbook. You can easily put it in your backpack, and take it with you. Bought one of these for my son for college use. He really likes it. The screen resolution is great. Wish there were a couple more ports on it.

Easy to use out of the box. Minimal set up required. Battery life is as expected.

Its great for someone who likes the lightness of and mobility of a iPad with a very thin added keyboard.

Great computer my daughter has off to college with it loves the size and weight of the laptop. Would recommend to students good size memory.

After having a few MacBook Pros, I was skeptical about switching to the new MacBook. My concerns were that it didn't have any USB ports and the keyboard felt weird to the touch (I do a LOT of typing), but if you get the extra little cord, the USB issue is solved and I got used to the keyboard quickly. I love it! AND, it matches my phone :-)

I purchased this macbook to replace a 15 inch macbook pro. I needed something more portable. I went back and forth between the macbook pro and macbook air - and ultimately decided on the macbook. So far, it is perfect for my needs, which is occasional work, email, facebook and internet surfing. Although not as powerful as my old pro, I barely notice a difference. I read comments about the keyboard, but it really wasn't that much of a change and works well to me. Love the portability and style - I would recommend this to anyone!

I'm in love with my MacBook. it is super lightweight and has a fast processor. A downfall would be that I have to purchase adapters for usb, cd, etc but the it's overall a good laptop.
