Awesome battery life last long and the keyboard is perfect for my hands

I bought this laptop 2 years ago and it still basically runs like the day I got it. I can count on one hand how many times it's "crashed" in that time or even an app has frozen. I use it for web, email, photos, and Office in that order of use. It can get very warm, actually hot right in the center bottom where the processor is, but only when running heavy web content like YouTube. I have to put it on a pillow cause it'll make my leg sweat. It's the price you pay for no moving parts and it's worth it to me. The Retina screen is worth the extra over the regular screen and 2yrs later it still looks as clear and sharp as when I got it. The keyboard is great but takes getting used to since they have VERY little travel when pushed. If so much as a crumb falls between the key then the travel is even less. Nothing shaking it upside down and blowing can't fix. 2 yrs later the battery life is still great and lasts hours doing the things I mentioned earlier.

This is my second MacBook. It's replacing my 2008 MacBook which actually still work well. This new 12" version is a great product. It performs well for things like checking email, browsing the web and messaging. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good laptop that will perform well and last long.

Exceeded my expectation. It simply is awesome. I own a 15" MacBook Pro Retina and a 27" iMac. And this is definitely a good addition to my workflow, portability. This will be replacing my needs for iPad.

They keyboard is different but I got used to right away. For web surfing and email it is very snappy. Batter goes down a little faster than expected. Overall - love the display, size and weight!

Would recommend this MacBook for any college student who is looking for a light weight yet powerful laptop.

This MacBook is easy to carry every day. Its weight is almost the same as my notebook. It supports my normal homework and some coding programs.

After comparing the Macbook with other ultrabooks, I finally decided to buy it mostly based on its aesthetic appeal. I love how its slim and looks nice. I think the retina display is much better than displays of other laptops. The keyboard takes a little to get used to but it's great now. I mostly use it for personal use and haven't had any issues with it.

Love this new Mac, at first I was concerned about the lack of the USB port, but I soon realized that the bluetooth feature on it works so well, there isn;t really a need for one. Super quick and the colors are awesome. I recently upgraded, gave my wife my other Mac book and never looked back :-)

Fast, light, great screen. Had an 8 year old Macbook Pro 15". So heavy, it finally died (cpu failed)

This laptop is extremely light weight, but not too fragile. The Retina display is ridiculously clear.

It's pretty awesome! The keyboard fells nice, the whole laptop is tiny and easy for travel. The only downside is that you have to buy the adapter if you want to use a USB or disk. Which both are pretty much obsolete. If it do everything online, like I do then you are in good hands.

I bought this to shed lbs while traveling as a photographer & a small profile for working up photos on plane. Plenty of power for my workflow. Also bought for watching movies while flying. That Retina screen is Awesome !

I've owned one other macbook- a macbook pro- and when looking to buy a new one decided to try a macbook for the smaller size. I'm very happy. I'm a pretty basic computer user- I take online classes so I use the internet and I use word programs. This computer is perfect. Fast, small enough to take anywhere, has everything I need. Very happy.

The new Macbook is an excellent balance of size, weight, and utility with a great retina screen.
