The Macbook has been great. I've owned it for a few weeks now and it works just as fast as my older rmbp 15 when I run Xcode and Android Studios. I don't do any video editing so I wouldn't know how intensive applications would run. The laptop runs fairly cool as well so no issues there. The one port thing is kind of a hassle. Overall great experience.

I must admit that while I am normally an early adopter of all Apple products, I was resistant to purchase the 12" MacBook. I waited most of a year to get one. I'm very sorry that I waited so long. This is a great device. It is basically replacing my iPad, and I use my iPad ALL the time. I'm not going to go into detail over each feature that I love about the MacBook. I will just say that it is now the computer that I bring everywhere with me. I even bought a new bag to carry it in. One item of note though. It will not replace a more powerful computer if you are a developer using apps like Xcode or Eclipse. I'll keep my MacBook Pro around for things like that. But for web surfing, writing, small programming projects, it's perfect. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

You paid premium for Apple, but the quality is second to none. I bought this laptop for my wife as she longs for a light laptop, and her computing need is not demanding. Definitely this laptop is not a powerhouse in processing power, but sufficient to handle day to day work.

This MacBook works perfectly for my daughter's online college class and I can use it for out of town meetings also! We have had absolutely no trouble with it so far. Great size, easy to use! Only wish it had a USB Port!

I've owned Macbook pro and Air and I really like the form factor of the 12". its light yet fairly powerful. It requires some work arounds with the single USBC port but unless your using it as your only computer its not a problem with a couple of adapters. Graphics are great and the Intel M is slower than an i5 but still offers good performance.

I was on the fence about purchasing the new MacBook especially since it was very small and did not have immediate port access for USBs, HDMIs or CD/DVD. I decided to take the plunge and I haven't regretted my decision yet.

Excellent laptop - light, sleek, fast, easy to transport.

Light, stylish and plenty fast for web surfing and office type programs. It's hard not to get fingerprints on the top of the screen when opening the lid. Do not be fooled by the screen resolution, the default is 1280 x 800 and you can scale it to 1440 x 900 (I don't know the technical term, but more than one pixel is used to form each "dot"). That being said the screen is bright and beautiful. The only issue I'm seeing (have only had it for a week) is that the battery is draining about 1% per hour in sleep mode. Hopefully, this will improve over time or with an update.

Purchased the New MacBook to replace my MacBook Pro that has become very slow. The new MacBook easily loads the newest Microsoft Office and is easy to use.

Trackpad was the best part, keyboard was easy to acclimate to. Super light-weight. Should have had a retina display for the price.

This was purchased for my daughter for college and so far she loves it. It's fast and easy for her to transport from class TO CLASS.

Great for travel. I love the weight and size. I only wish there was the USB port and SD card reader like the pro model. I appreciate that attachments are available to allow use of those ports with the computer.

The new Macbook is fantastic! We upgraded from a 2011 Macbook Pro model. It is truly amazing at how much smaller and lighter this one is. It's perfect for portability purposes, super fast boot up time because it uses the flash memory instead of the old style mechanical memory from my old Macbook and PC. The specs may seem like they're not that great, but the fact that it uses the new memory style, it can instantly access information which makes it much much faster. Incredibly thin and still can't believe how light this thing is. I love it and would certainly recommend it to others!

It's light and very portable. It's also quiet and doesn't get really hot when sitting on your lap. It's fast and gets the job down for basic office tasks.
