A month ago I bought my new Macbook 12 8GB 256GB in gray thru Bestbuy.com. I received it on time and without problems. The same day I received I barely use it and returned to my home overseas. Only two days after, the Macbook started to having problems with the keyboard. At the beginning it showed problems with the space key when pressed the right side. Now only works when I press hard the center of the bar, nor the left or right. I checked online the Apple Support and found that other owners reported the same issue. Some of them even received a replacement more than once due to said problems with the spacebar and other keys also. I called Apple Support and opened a case to make sure to get a replacement in some Apple store when I return to the United States. Besides this annoying problem the Macbook works as expected. Bottom line the equipment is beautiful but quality of the keyboard definitely is not as expected for an expensive entry level Macbook. Apple quality was disappointed me.

Hit the gold color and I love it. Battery life is as it was advertised.

The 12" MacBook is an extremely portable laptop! That comes at a cost though. It only has one usb c port. I'm a fan of usb c, but only having one port to charge or plug in an accessory is limiting. There are accessories to remedy the situation, but it's frustrating having to rely on that for sufficient ports and compatibility. I also noticed that the processor is rather limited as well, even in web browsing at times if you push it. The best use case I can make for this laptop is it's portability. If this is your only computer I'd suggest getting a MacBook Pro. I will say that this is a great computer to carry around / travel with since it's so light and so thin. I ended up returning the 12" MacBook and later buying a 13" MacBookPro with Touchbar to better suit my needs.

Features are more or less the same like my previous Macbook Air. not having USB ports is a negative point.

This is a very good notebook. I use it mainly for using the web and writing scripts, including programming (I mean, write the program, and I run it mostly on desktop). I bought it with a discounted price $999, which is a very nice price for this notebook. Overall, I like using it very much.

So I finally purchased a new Mac. I previously owned a Mac book pro from 2009. I opted for a MacBook this time because I loved the visual appearance. The Retina display is beautiful and the sound system is so vibrant and loud.

A great multi-tasking computer that is light and looks so classy.

This laptop is stunning - if you want something small and lightweight that is not an iPad then this is truly awesome (cost aside)

My only complaint is needing to have an adapter for USBs. This computer is super lightweight and great for a first time MacBook user. Excellent for the student on the go.

The one device that can replace my surface pro 3 without compromise. 9 hour battery life and 8gb of ram and the core m is really all you need. Never really had a need for CPU intensive programs but definitely held its own. Hiccups only slightly more frequently than a macbook pro 2015.

This laptop is great, you just need to get over the fact that it has a horrible cpu, which isn't hard to do. The laptop likes to hang a lot but you will be able to forgive it because it looks and feels so nice. I got this laptop because I wanted to get into iOS app developing and programming in general and everyone knows the best way to start is on mac OS. So far, everything is working out for me, but owning this laptop constantly makes you feel like you have to upgrade to a macbook pro as soon as possible. I would recommend this laptop to anyone that is completely invested in the Apple eco-system and wants something along the lines of a chromebook. Of course the price isn't to that of a chromebook, but you get so much more with an Apple computer, thats for sure.

Sleek, light, and powerful. The keyboard and trackpad took a little getting used to after using my iPad but once accustomed, you'll wonder why all notebooks aren't like this.

Very good, little laptop. Use it as my portable, and in combination with a MBP it is amazing. The new force touch trackpad is awesome. Hard to believe it really isn't clicking!

Good Macbook for people who likes to travel around. No USB port or Mini display or card reader. It is not convenient.

My wife loves her new MacBook! It's that perfect laptop for on the go documents and design work!

2nd one we have purchased and we love it. easy to take with you and the software is easy to use.

Gave MacBook to wife who has school air book. Does a great job lighter than air book and more portable sh now can leave air book in school and use Mac book at home.t

This laptop is everything my child needs for college. Plenty powerful enough, screen is awesome. Light, but still solid.

This new format of the USB means one thing plugged in at a time -- unless you buy adapters with multiple inputs. This may be the price you pay for such a light weight computer with this even of computing capacity.

I like the weight of my MacBook, and I can carry it with me everywhere now. This is the perfect laptop for school purposes, and it can satisfy all my needs for school.
