I got this laptop as a gift for my first semester at the university level and it has exceeded expectations. I upgraded from the 2010 macbook pro and this new version is amazing.

I like that it's very light weight, fast and reliable. Cons are that the keyboard is awkward and have to press the keys hard. Also wish the battery life was a bit longer.

Great laptop for school, easily portable and runs quick, never had any issues with it.

Glad to see Retina on the small form factor. Apple did an amazing job on this laptop. I don't miss any of the ports. Everything is wireless these days and most people store data in the cloud. The USB-C charging interface is not as easy to connect as the magnetic ones. It's a tight fit and not very easy to plug in. The keys are a bit loud when typing. Otherwise it's a perfect laptop and I'm very happy with it.

i was hesitant to buy this for my youngest child due to the fact that she destroyed my macbook pro by dropping it and bending the aluminum case rendering the display dead but given the fact that it is so small and light she handles this one much better! i still bought her a good case that offers "corner protection" though ;-)

This has quickly become our favorite laptop as the screen is second to none and the unit is built like a rock. Coming from the first unibody macbook pro, this guy just rocks

The advantages of this laptop are that is it is very light, it has an exceptional monitor, and it is well provisioned with adequate RAM and storage. The primary disadvantage is the need to use adapters to connect peripherals.

The product I purchase is great quality. I look more into buying more apple products that are necessary for my new MacBook at an affordable price.

I have had my MacBook for about two weeks now, so here are my first impressions.First of all, yes, I am that guy that has to have all and every Apple product ever made. I have tried them all and most of them are still in my possession. With that said, I was very skeptical about this MacBook. For someone who teaches college and who travels, having a good laptop is very important. Pros: Wow, this thing is light. I almost want to say, that it is lighter than my iPad Air. I mean, it is so light that I stopped carrying my iPad and now only carry my MacBook. For daily use, it is very quick and responsive. Yes, I know, if I was to start editing pictures, I would use either my iMac, or my MacBook pro. But for my daily use: Office, email, FaceTime... this machine is perfect. Display quality is beyond amazing. That's it... It's amazing!!! Battery life - I used the notebook for 2 straight days now and still have 40% left. So, the battery life is great. Also, the power adapter itself, is wonderful. it is not as bulky as the adapter sold with Air or Pro. So, when I have to travel for lengthy periods, it is not going to take up too much space. Cons: One minor con - and it is what everyone else is complaining about: USB-C port. Look, I do not care about the port. I bought the adapter. But that is the issue. I do not want to carry extra adapters with me. What is the point of having a thin notebook with awesome battery life and then make us carry adapters? When flash drives and projectors start offering USB-C connections, I will be more than happy to give this amazing notebook 5 stars. furthermore, it is hard to find extra adapters for this notebook. I am sure, give it a year or so and there will be plenty of choices. Overall, this is a great... no, amazing little notebook, that does the work of any other notebooks (windows or Mac) on the market today. I highly recommend it. But, if you are planning to purchase it, expect to pay an extra $100 for adapters and possibly a charger. I wish Amazon would allow me to give this Notebook 4 1/2 stars!!!! This is my favorite notebook to date. (I think I said the same about MacBook Air, when it came out)

You won't regret spending the big bucks on this laptop! It works like a charm, does everything that I want with no hassle!

a thin and thin laptop. good battery and good screen resolution

Picked up this laptop for portability when family goes on trips and for the kiddos to use. Impressed at how light the macbook is and it works pretty well. Only complaint is the single USB-C connector which is used for charging and peripherals. But that is to be expected with Apple where they will nickel and dime you with all sorts of accessories even after you spend an arm and a leg for their products.

My MacBook feels so light compared to my dell laptop! I haven't used it much because I use my iPad so much but I love the design! Can't wait to use it more often.

Like all the Apple products I have ever purchased, easy to set up and easy to connect wirelessly to our printer at home.
